We have never bought insurance in over 30 cruises.

I never book an early flight home for fear of unexpected delays in the ship's arrival and clearance. However, the people we're traveling with went ahead and booked a 10AM flight home out of Fort Lauderdale without first checking with us and the change fee is very high. Royal is due in at 6AM and it's the only ship in port that day. Doing self debarkation and all four of us have priority boarding and pre-check. Unexpected delays of ship aside, think we'll make it??
You will make it easy, just make sure you walk off the ship first. We carry our own bags.

Do you normally tip a waiter before a meal?
If there is no threat of lowering or removing tips, it doesn't really matter if it's before or after the meal. The service doesn't change. Cruise tip feel more like a fee....not a tip.

I realize that Carnival supplies towels to each room for use at the pool and HMC, but does anyone pack their own beach towels for whatever reason, simply because it is theirs or not to have to keep track of Carnival's towels?
No never, we use the ships towels.

1.) That is why I never use a Princess transfer of bus to the ship. I always go for private transfer and I don't care if I have to fork out over $100 for it.
2.) If it were me I would have reported them to the nearest staff member at check in and demanded they be taken aside for serious contagious health issues. I have done this before and will continue to do it in the future.
3.) The moment someone starts coughing like that near me I move away from them. If it was on a bus and unavoidable I would have demanded the bus stop so that I could get off and find alternate transport.
It's seems like cruising isn't for you, or going out in public basically.

I would definitely carry it on my person, not in a bag unless it never leaves you.

My husband and I booked late due to having to wait for vacation time to be approved. All that was left was late dining.
We did YTD last time, but this time we are going sans kids. I'm nervous about sitting with other people, but I'm social enough to deal with that.
However, we are used to eating early. For example, my husband often eats dinner at 4 or 5 p.m. and I usually eat by 6 p.m. Of course, my breakfast and lunch are usually light, and I assume they won't be light on the cruise.
For those with late dining, do you snack in the afternoon? For example, grab a slice of pizza or room service? Or am I a glutton?
We usually eat lunch around 2pm. Sometimes we might grab something else light to eat around 5pm in the Lido when dinner starts but not usually.

We were on the Royal last year on Halloween and there will be a party with dancing in the Piazza after dinner. I think around 930ish. Lots of people were dressed up.

FTTF is stupid

We thought the pre made sandwich station was great. Best part is they are packed up in a nice travel bag to take anywhere. So convenient.

Be prepared to be ridiculed and insulted by his merry band of Kool Aid drinking minions that live their lives on his FB page. They're a pathetic bunch.

That's very different than expecting reimbursement because you booked an early flight outside of guidelines and missed it for no extraordinary reasons.
No it isn't, the ship was late and people who missed thier fights got reimbursement. You are really making this out to be a bigger deal than what it is. I have had a 11am or earlier flight after a cruise many many times. It's not stressful what so ever. It's very convenient, and if you tell the service desk you have a early flight they will let you disembark at the beginning or just carry you own bags off like we usually do.
-
The cruise line will not do anything if your return flight is before their recommended flight time.
I have been reimbursed 2x for the ship being late back into port. Once for a medical emergency and another for man overboard.
-
So you are allowed to stay later and disembark when you want? We have a later flight and that would be our preference. When is everyone off by?

When we have a late flight we sleep in as long as we can and walk off at the end. Seems to work fine.
-
Just carry your bags off yourself and you will be fine. It's 5 min from the airport in Ft. Lauderdale. You won't miss your flight but if you did due to the ship returning late just get another flight, the cruise line might even reimburse you.
-
Just move thier stuff and sit down.

I am never sick. My kids are never sick. Why? Because we do NOT run around disinfecting everything. Never have, never will.
Holy carp, people, you are NUTS!

Well I trust what the crew wants because I don't care. I simply ask the crew if they want the auto-gratuities or cash tip at the end and I do what they want. They always want the cash with one exception who said they didn't care. Not sure what that tells you anything but it satisfied me.

I really wish they would allow ordering a drink and water at the same time. I'm not hording the water, I'm just drinking it after my alcohol to avoid a hangover.
So get the water in 5 min....

I am excited because not only did HAL's rep look up our booking # they also got my address and used it in the return e-mail to me. I am excited that a huge corp. cared about how I felt and addressed all the concerned and named them in the e-mail to me.
Why would you ask me if I got a discount/future cruise credit? Do you also want to ask how much I make per year?? Both and neither are none of your business. I am excited that I as a small person wrote a review here and some one saw it. They said I should post it on fb. Someone from HAL said I should e-mail HAL's Guest relations and I did. And the best is HAL read and replied to my e-mail!!! And it is my hope that because of my e-mail another customer who books a holiday cruise will not be as disappointed as I was in the future! PERIOD!
No need to get excited again. I'm not trying to brush you the wrong way. I asked if you got a discount or future cruise credit because that would benefit other people on the board if emailing corporate would help for a dissatisfied cruise customers. I do not want to know how much you make a year as that's wouldn't help anyone with thier next cruise. Also, people talk about discounts and OBC and things of that nature all the time and it's not a sensitive topic for most.
-
Thank you wander. I an still amazed that Hal (which is a huge corp.) replied to an E-mail that fast. If it had been a local business I would have expected the matter to be replied to immediately, but a huge corp. three thousand miles away. Well you understand....
They gave you a discount or future cruise credit? If not I really don't understand why you are so excited. Them answering your email is someone's job I'm sure.
