Watching, can't wait to board Voyager again in 11 days [emoji1][emoji108][emoji485][emoji483][emoji106]

But not necessarily advertised. Sometimes you just have to be on deck to find out.
-
Port side of the Pool Deck (Deck 9) if I remember correctly.
No smoking in Casino when cruising from Australia. Only on deck 5 and deck 9 on one side of ship, can't recall if port or starboard. Relax, don't overthink and enjoy!
-
Explorer is definitely the better itinerary imo.
-
How about making jigsaw puzzles and hiding the pieces in different locations?
-
Whichever you choose I am sure you will have a fantastic time.

Hi, having been on all four ships, albeit Legend was back in2008, I must say our favourite is definitely Radiance. A beautiful ship without being too big and so have found it easier to get to know the staff than on Voyager. Also, if you have inclement weather, the solarium on Voyager does not have a roof, so really can't be used. There are pros and cons for all, so really is a matter of what you want on your trip. Voyager does have the Flo-Rider if that interests you, Schooner bar has tons more atmosphere on Radiance. What sort of things interest you most?

I love hearing the "BOING" when I embark the ship. It reminds me that I'm about to have another Goodtime!
Best sound ever [emoji1]

Being a heavy RCL supporter, it pains me to say I feel that EX (any Voyager Class) is a horrible ship for Alaska.
This is just my 2 cents:
-
- 3000+ passengers but no indoor Solarium... where do 3000+ passengers go when driving rain/cold?
- No outdoor views when in Promanade/lounge/Schooner Bar/StudioB/you name it.
- Voyager Class is an inward focus ship, awesome for warmer climates, with superb open top deck for summer weather, great open air sports deck with Florider, open air Solarium, etc. EX is not a cold weather ship.
- For more Alaskan experience, I'd pick Ketchikan over Victoria, a great port and one of my favorite excursions ever was there (Aleutian Ballad, "Dangerous Catches")
- EX cannot embark/debark in Vancouver, one of the most beautiful cities and ports in the world (yes I'm biased :p)
- EX does not do the inside passage through British Columbia
Because of the possibility of over 3000 passengers all crammed together spending full days in the Promenade and other interior spaces of this ship on bad weather days, I feel that balcony staterooms will sell with a very high price tag, whereas interior rooms will end up weekly on the Going Going Gone sales at very cheap prices.
Those that have read any of my posts on CC know that I love Voyager Class and truthfully Radiance Class is at the bottom of my list, but for Alaska Radiance Class is the way to go.... until RCL smartens up and sends a Quantum Class (this would change everything, and they would sell out Q Class at premium pricing imho).
Again, just my 2 cents :)
Whatever you choose, have a great cruise! :D
Although we loved Victoria, must agree with the above regarding the Voyager class. We did Alaska on Radiance which was awesome and have since done Voyager to NZ. We so missed not being able to use the solarium as we had very inclement weather and onboard activities were so very limited if you didn't want to play trivia. I would look carefully at the layout of the ship for this kind of cruise.

Hi Dave
KAYTWO have two to add
Voyager to South Pacific on 9 th Feb 2016
Celebrity Constellation Italy, French Riviera, Spain, Corfu and the Adriatic in Aug 2016 :)

Have to agree, we had an awesome day on the ATV's

We are currently looking at two cruises with very similar itineraries leaving one week apart. On Voyager we can basically have our pick of cabins in any grade, but on explorer, which leaves a week later, the only cabins showing available are connecting cabins, or the less desirable cabins allocations and guarantees. Is this a ploy by RC to try to sell these cabins off or is it possible that Explorer is maybe chartered?
-
Yep, just booked our first on X. When I registered with the Captains Club it automatically registered us as Elite, no need to call.
-
We are Diamond, but have never received any "pins" or any other recognition. I don't think they count for Australians!
-
Hi all, after spending our last 10 or so cruises on Royal, I would like to hear other people's opinions if they have been on Arcadia recently. We are considering part of the world sector, but am reading mixed reviews. As diamond members we were a little disappointed in our last cruise on Voyager, so any direct comparisons would be appreciated.
-
Thinking of booking a sector, so would like to know who is currently on board and what are your thoughts?
-
-
Meanwhile, here in Australia they just keep hiking up the prices!
-
So glad all worked out for you. Sounds as if you have enough stress to deal with already, so enjoy your trip in your fab balcony and live it up [emoji1]

We bought some yesterday, but are now wondering when we get on board if it will really be honoured as 1 for 1 or if a conversion rate will have taken place. The rep on the phone assured me it would be, but where do we stand if they don't honour as I certainly wouldn't have done it otherwise.

Hi all
Does anyone know if you can hook up with a wine tour straight off the dock or should we pre book?
-
Thank You Everyone for your replays and information :D
We hooked up with Tisa (tisa's barefoot bar) for a fantastic day. She had a group of us on a small bus for a tour around some of the island attractions, then lunch and afternoon at the bar. this included lunch, with snorkelling straight off the beach behind the bar. Fabulous day and well worth doing.

We did both last year as a b2b starting in Hawaii, then teamed it up with a trip across the Rockies to Banff, down to Vegas then home (Australia). Both very different and unique in their own ways. That was a great trip if you can swing it. 😄
