Thanks so much for your detailed reply to my inquiry regarding embarkation time based on your first hand NCL experience. My hats off to all of the crew and port workers that work so hard to accomplish incredible turn around times of generally around 12 hours in port. Getting all of the departing passengers off the ship and their luggage; cleaning the ship and all the cabins; loading tons of provisions, beverages and luggage aboard and welcoming new guests - it's amazing!

We are cruising on the Norwegian Spirit from Honolulu to Tahiti departing on May 19th - 31. This ship docks at Honolulu at 6 am and departs on our cruise at 7 PM. This is our first time cruising on Norwegian, although we have cruised on a number of other cruise lines. I wanted to ask frequent cruisers with Norwegian what is the earliest time you have been able to board and what time was the ship departing? We like to board the ship early when possible, so that we can have a drink, lunch, have time to explore the ship, time to unpack well before sail away, drinks and dinner. We are excited about this cruise since it will be our first time cruising to French Polynesia and Tahiti! Thanks. 🙂 Steve & Mary
