  1. Just a FYI., I’ve seen more drunk people on HAL than Carnival. Heck, I drink more on HAL than Carnival.

Carnival has tons of activities, more to do . Most of them are very much non drinker activities.. though you could get a drink if you want it. Comedy shows, trivia, karaoke, dance lessons, casino activities, etc all at the same time.

Drink prices are higher on Carnival.

    Drinks are not as strong.

So, yeah.. while Carnival people like to drink.. the only times I’ve seen rude and inappropriate behavior from cruisers in general is while on HAL. Put it this way, when a Carnival person is drunk they may just be dancing or singing or such. On HAL I’ve seen people falling down, had security called on them , disrupting a show etc.

  2. DO any of the stores in Amber cove actually sell (good quality )amber? Any recommendations?

No, they don’t. If you’ve been to the port in Cozumel it’s very much the same.. but smaller. Touristy stuff made in China or Mexico.

I didn’t see ANY Amber for sale last year

  3. Clearly a Carnival troll.

Let's see, Carnival is trying to manage a fluid and unknown situation. All the while as they manage customers in a live scenario who are at sea. Further, while working with land-based port officials.

Yup, it's all Carnival's fault. They don't care about anyone but themselves.

They don’t .. nor should they. They are a for profit business with stockholders to answer to. They want to make money. Period.

However, when your customers are disappointed and dissatisfied they will vote with their feet.. and in this digital age make their voices heard. THIS will effect future profits which should concern the corporation.

  4. If you book a cruise during the hurricane season one should be flexible and prepared for change.

Hurricane season 2017 is between June 1 and Nov 30th.

Seriously these type of comments are getting old.

I doubt anyone who would have had a cancelled cruise on a July cruise would have been told this.. even though that would have been hurricane season.

Historically the season peaks September 10th.. historically current cruisers would have been good to go.

  5. Mobile told Carnival the port would be closed before noon today but we weren't told that the Fantasy would not be sailing tomorrow until 8pm Friday night. We can hang-out in the hurricane until Sunday and see if the port opens. In that case we get a one day refund. If the port does not open, we would sit in the hotel in a perhaps shut down city and get another day lopped off. If you cancel--and I did, you get a cruise credit but you eat your insurance money. I am going to cancel the cruise I had booked for January and never book Carnival again.

So you cancelled to get a refund not a credit, right?

Then you probably used your insurance to get refunded? So why would they refund insurance?

Maybe I’m missing something, sorry if I am..,

  6. I don’t understand why Carnival hasn’t let people know they won’t be boarding Sunday.., when the current cruisers have been notified they will NOT be disembarking then.

    Not right !!!!!

  7. As jokingly as this is, the huricane is my name, Nate. I want to know about this because I fly out tomorrow Saturday, for the cruise out of New Orleans on Sunday. I’m wondering what to do.

    You won’t be boarding Sunday

  8. We're wondering that too, as we are supposed to depart on the Dream out of NOLA on Sunday. :o:o

Not sure how accurate this is.. but I heard that today the Dream was going to Cozumel and skipped Belize.. then heading home one day early .

  9. I recommend Walks Of Italy. Hands down the best tour I've ever taken.

( I am planning on using them in Venice too )

The guide will bypass everything and go straight to the Sistine Chapel to beat the crowds. We , all 20 of us, learned about every panel., no one else was there.

When the other tour groups started to enter we were on our way out.

Walks of Italy seemed to have a "in" with security and Vatican personnel.

  10. We have major cruise in a few days.

Called Carnival for question on this cruise, surprise they closed all their offices and diverted calls to an overseas call center.

Person on the phone had no idea what we were talking about.

Thanks for the support with the hurricane delays.

Well, those Carnival call center people probably needed to evacuate and/or secure their property.

Much more important than risking their lives to answer Cruise questions. At least in my opinion..

  11. Carnival use to have a policy in place that if you are so unhappy you can get off at the first port of call and fly home. They'll refund your fare but you're on your own on flying home. If you are that miserable look into it.

They fly you home too ( to your home or embark port ) if you have a passport ( if needed)

  12. Please contact me by dm! We are on the same cruise, live in san antonio, and if you decide to do this we will help out! While we can offer you free transport from SA to the ship, we will be staying in the Houston area to help a elderly aunt for 3 days AFTERWARDS, so please be advised this is a ONE WAY offer!

This is incredibly kind of you. What a nice offer! I hope you have a wonderful cruise and much happiness to you and yours

  13. wow, flamed for trying to save 10%, I am sure none of you folks who posted your hateful comments have never purchased anything at a discount or percentage off have you?

CardCash IS a legitimate site, BBB accredited, and has plenty of good reviews

My actions? I bought the gift cards legally, used my money, redeemed them legally, I did NOTHING wrong. Did Carnival do anything wrong NO. However, I could see them not accepting any further gift cards on the booking, but this had NOTHING to do with my credit card.

I will be doing the credit authorization form today, and paying the cruise off.

The problem is in Carnival's eyes you committed fraud once .. and they aren't going to let you scam them again.

Carnival may be incorrect in thinking you are shady but once bitten, twice shy. I can't say I blame their corporate policy.

Their business, their rules. Even if it inconveniences you.
