We had NLNLNL. Don't think beginning with 7 has anything to do with where you are from or at least which section of the US. We began with 7 as did friends cruising with us from a totally different part of the country.

We always use the Midport Garage, as recently as October, and have never had a problem parking. Not only that, but I have never heard of anyone having a problem. It's a BIG parking deck and I bet they have room for way more than the max # of people who would ever drive.

You got it- it's confusing and I often wonder if that is intentional. Many posters here think they are getting the amenities with every cabin called a 'suite'. Since people who read these boards are a lot more educated as to these categories than the normal new pax who doesn't read online, I can imagine how many get on the ship and think they are getting perks that they are not.
The SS category is only on the Vista class ships and the cabin is larger than the A and B 'mini-suites' on the mid-sized ships (such as Veendam). We have not been in one, but I know many here who have have been very happy.
We loved the Veendam, by the way. ;)

The S suites on the Zuiderdam and Westerdam (both Vista class ships) are smaller than on the Veendam and other S and R class ships. There are many more S suites on the Vista ships, but while the Vista ships are bigger they have many more suites not only because of their size but because the suites themselves are smaller.
We much prefer the S and R class mid-sized ships and also prefer the larger S suites on them. An S suite is a terrific way to cruise, both for the size of the suite and balcony, and for the amenities which are only available to S suite pax and the PS (penthouse). And yes, the amenities are the same for all S Deluxe Verandah Suites, but do not be fooled when HAL calls other categories 'suites'. Read carefully. Only the PS, SA, SB, and SC suites get the amenities.

Can you give the dimensions on the tiles? I'm trying to think of what I can do with the one I'll get on my upcoming cruise, and it would help to know the size. Thanks!
Without going to measure mine, though I'll be glad to do that, I would estimate about 3x3 or 4x4, similar to a coaster. In fact, some people use them as coasters.
Are any HAL recipes available?

It is listed as available online from B&N which means that even if it is not in stock at your local store, they can order it for you. As long as it is carried in B&N inventory it can be ordered locally and they will get it in for you with no shipping costs. Just go to the desk and ask them.
