  1. I'm also from Jax and enjoyed Fascination for quick cheap get aways. We sailed her 6 times in last 3 years. Was skeptical about Elation, I think we will sail from PC in the next one.

Same here, did the owner's suite for one last hurrah last month.

    PC next time sadly.

  2. Program allows for unlimited Zero-Proof beverages but only one beverage at a time may be ordered using CHEERS! - sharing is not permitted.

There is a 5 minute wait time between ordering drinks.

Guests may purchase a round of drinks for themselves and friends. One drink will count towards the CHEERS! program and the remaining drinks will be charged to the guest's Sail and Sign account.

Program allows for up to 15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hour period (6:00am-6:00am); once the limit is reached, the guest will not be served ANY additional alcoholic drinks.

  3. I feel like Nassau is a cesspool.

I concur, I've been to Nassau multiple times over the years and it has steadily degraded.

Headed there one last time in March...I'll probably book a massage in lieu of getting hassled/hustled.

  4. it is a kick in the teeth to people in South Carolina. North Carolina. Kentucky. Georgia. Tennessee. Alabama. Mississippi

which keep that ship sailing FULLY BOOKED most of the year.

First they take KEY WEST away. That was a HUGELY popular cruise. We took it. Loved it.

    Now this.

Jacksonville gets the most positive cruise reviews of any port Carnival operates. My Son in Law works at the Port. Logistics.

Nice hotels around the airport. Much cheaper than Miami.

I follow cruise news and prices as everyone on this board does..

MIAMI and TEXAS discount cruises. NOT Port Canaveral. Not Jacksonville..and yes every ship does sometimes....but people on Fascination....many have cruised on that ship..seven...eight times. EASY to drive too. I-95. I-10.

When Mayport is dredged, as our Mayor is doing right now..and JaxPort is expanded..I PRAY a NCL or RCI comes in.....

Completely agree with you here. I'm in saint johns county and this is a nice drive to the port. Put a crappy ship in and I'll have to make the jaunt down to Canaveral.

I'm in Mandarin in south Jacksonville, taking our fourth trip on Fascination from Jax in less than two weeks. Sounds like it may be our last out of JaxPort for quite a while. Sad, as it was so convenient.

  5. Welcome hard_eight! Awesome moniker and avatar you have there! Enjoy the site here! Oh.....

Do you always place sucker bets? HAHAHAHAHA!

    :p

Every now and then I throw a two way out there. Generally just put the boys on the line though...

I'm pretty basic. Pass line/odds, Place bets press and take, Come bets with odds.

I've only been on one cruise and that was back before I played craps. I got hooked on craps in Vegas.

It's usually 5$ minimums on the boats right? $10 minimums is expensive when playing craps.
