I bit the bullet yesterday and booked the cruise !

My Mom & I would like to cruise next March and I have tentatively booked a cruise for us on the BOGO 1/2 off promo.

I was wondering if I have to cancel prior to final payment, is it easy with Royal? Can it be done by phone? and how long does it take to get the deposit back?

We are booked on the cruise and sleep package at the Country Inn & Suites and I inquired if they had set times and if they took reservations for time slots. I was told that everything is set up at check-in.

I am looking for recent cruisers' experiences using their shuttle service- to the port and back.

Hi When you book the show do you just book the amount of seats or do you physically have to identify which seats you want like in a cinema? This is all so complicated!!

You only book the number of seats.

I am looking at doing a private excursion in Barbados which leaves at 9 AM.

Our itinerary on the RCCL website states 8 AM arrival- is that ship time or island time?

We are leaving Bayonne, NJ so I figure that we will be on Daylight Saving time in Dec so 8 AM DST is 9 AM in Barbados so this excursion would be a not be feasible for us.

I have booked 4 cruises do far for my husband's aunt who flies over from Belgium to leave with us for Caribbean cruises. 3 of those cruises in her own cabin so it should not be an issue for your sister to do the same for you.

Getting off the Allure & Oasis at the new terminal in Fort Lauderdale is a breeze so I am sure that Bayonne's new terminal will be great once built. In the interim, I will follow your advice and book for early afternoon.

I plan to book our flights as soon as they become available for our Quantum cruise next year as we will be using points and these seats go fast. This is our 1st time cruising out of Bayonne so I would like to know how much time do you think it will take to disembark, grab our luggage, go thru customs and get to Newark airport from the port?

This will help me figure which flight to choose :D

I am really glad that we should be able to dock in OSJ. We will be cruising on the Dec 1st cruise next year and one of the ports is San Juan. I really was hoping the OSJ could accommodate us. So much easier to get off for a few hours in OSJ...:D

There are no piranhas in Puerto Rico, anyway. :p

Yes they are both in the port area.

I just wanted to advise all that the store in San Juan is closed. :(

I found one in St Martin & St Lucia on our last cruise so I was able to pick a t-shirt anyway

Just for anyone else that might need addresses I decided to put them here.

 

I found an old article about La Bomborera which listed the address. Even tripadvisor doesn't have it anymore. Probably because it has been closed now for a while. I am assuming they are still in same building.

 

Anyway!! La Bomborera is 259 San Francisco and Cafe Mallorca is 300 San Francisco!! That should make it very easy.

 

I will be back in Oct!!

Front Starboard on the 1st hump

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Not a connecting cabin and very quiet although it is dependant on your neighbors. The only noise we heard is when they closed their cabin door

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– excellent location and quite deep- only fault is that it is large enough for a lounger but they are none. Love the new higher table

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized

Was wind a problem? No wind problem

Any specific problems with this cabin? Small bathroom and we got the impression the shower stall was smaller than other classes. Excellent storage space for 2 people. The coffee table hinder the cabin so it became a new nightstand and we placed the nightstand between the sofa and the wardrobe. It really opened up the area in front of the sofa.

Any other comments? I had the hardest time to remember to push the cabin door rather than pull when exiting the cabin. Kinda hilarious to see me each time.
