  1. I tried to book, and no matter what cabin I selected (including the ones auto-selected for me) it lets me go all the way though the booking and pay the $900 deposit, then says, “this stateroom not available, please select another stateroom.” I’ve tried 3 times, no luck.

Updated to say I tried a 4th time, and it went through! It said the last available. 🤞

I'm not sure why people think that this is funny....

On an upcoming fall cruise, I too booked Concierge as it was the only way to get a footstool/ottoman on our large hump veranda. For the small price difference, it was easier than lugging my inflatable ones .... I could care less about the swill, I mean Sparkling Wine-oid product, embarkation lunch or  daily cheese poofs.

I guess the inflatables are going back into my luggage!

Yes! I agree! I have a hump cabin. Could have booked same location on deck 8 for less money, but no footstool.  I don't care about any of the other amenities for concierge.  Went with deck 10, because it wasn't a whole lot more money, and it had a foot stool!

Wanted to upgrade our Wi-Fi from basic (included in our AI fare) to premium.  It was a lot cheaper to pay for the X-Pass. It includes premium Wi-Fi for two devices each plus the other benefits.

    NZ $25 = US $15.

I realized this, too, when I was checking prices to upgrade to 2 device premium Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, everyone else noticed, and X Pass is showing sold out for my April sailing.

My card goes in my pocket. If they had a the lanyard, it would go in my pocket as well. And if they offer wristbands, guess what? In the pocket.

Easy for you to say! Women’s clothing typically either has no pockets or tiny pockets, so carrying phones and cards without dragging around a purse is always an issue for us!

  5. Your ice cream answers so far are conflicting. There is delicious scooped ice cream in the ocean view daily in a variety of flavors at no charge.  Free soft serve is available at the mast grill, but is not self-serve.  The gelato at Cafe Al Bacio is for a charge, other than one free scoop for Captains Club members.

@cruisestitch it would be a family of 4.  2 adults and 2 teens.  From the responses, looks like it would be a very tight fit. I tried looking for pictures of the cabin of how the turndown service would be like but couldn't find any.

Just FYI, if this helps, on S Class ships such as Reflection, the concierge class cabins are exactly the same size as a standard balcony cabin, so you aren’t gaining any space by going with that category.

  7. As long as we are discussing drink packages in general, can anyone clarify for me if the 20% gratuity for drinks is covered by the package? I have the premium drink package. I saw something on the Celebrity site that made my doubt my belief that the gratuity is included. The way they word it, that the gratuity is added at checkout, makes it sound like they ad it to your account. Now I’m confused.

Having had both regular balcony and AQ, didn't realize AQ cabins were larger.  Thought the same size.  Not a huge fan of blu, or themal suites.  For us not worth it-  They had smelly atomizers in the room which we immediately asked to be removed.  We do not use yoga mats.  Blu, while tables for two available- they are really small tables a few inches apart from each so not at all private.  We had strangers voicing their opinions when we were having private conversations.  IMO not worth the additional charge.  On a few ships, the cabins were poorly located also- a great gimmick.  IMO better to get a well located balcony cabin, mid ship with cabins above and below.  Dine with your savings in a few speciality restaurants.  Enjoy your cruise.

This was also my experience with Blu. Hated the elbows-touching tables for 2, and strangers inserting themselves into our private conversations. I also disliked the food in Blu. Prefer MDR.

We were on the Beyond and the Edge the this year and Blu menu we were unable to ask for the MDR items like onion soup or ceasar salad, and the menu was very limited.  The items were not appealing to us and unlike the MDR where you can get chicken/steak/salmon every night we were unable to get any of those items.  Blu was very noisy in both cruises so we only dined one evening in Blu on each cruise and our service both times were so so, I have no idea why people rave about it as we found the MDR so much better in service, items offered and food tasting better.  We are booked on the Equinox and will give it a try, but from what I hear on this class of ship we are allowed to ask for the "everyday items" on the MDR, if this is true it will work out perfectly for us, if not, we be back in the MDR.

The spa stuff included in Aqua for us was useless a joke, because the treatments you still have to pay for but the only thing we did like about Aqua was the shower in these class of ships, the best shower in all our other 98 cruises we taken.  I would take Aqua for the showers, but unsure if those showers are in the class of ship we are currently booked on.

I agree with you! I know we are in the minority, but I only cruised once in Aqua, and never again. I did not care for Blu. Much prefer MDR!

Just another opinion here. We booked Aqua Class on Celebrity once and my husband was not a fan. To me, it was not worth the steep increase in price. Also did not use the Spa. But most people rave about Aqua. We do verandah cabins and Concierge on the M class ships since they are slightly bigger cabins. We are not foodies.

I am also in the minority! I did not enjoy Blu at all! I wasn’t a fan of the menu there. Also, we were seated at a table for 2 that was literally 2 inches from other tables, so felt cramped. I prefer MDR. I did enjoy the Persian Garden very much on S class, not on M class, but I don’t think Blu or Persian Garden are worth a significantly higher price, for me. That being said, food is VERY subjective, and I realize that others love Blu.

  11. I stayed in 2109, forward AS on the forward hump, back in 2015, and it was very quiet. We loved it! It was an Aqua suite back then. Later that same year, reverted to regular sky suite, and I guess now is Aqua suite again. 😊. Here is a photo of the cabin.

What is the reason for the switch of 3 cruises from Reflection to Beyond?

What is Reflection going to be doing, Ship buy out or ship repairs

I read on another forum that Reflection will now be doing 3-4 night booze cruise itineraries in the Caribbean, and Beyond will be in the Caribbean full time.

Impossible to say now what sargassum situation will be next April on Orient - . but could be bad like this year.  Very unlikely to be an issue in Little Bay - and Little Bay is usually calm.  At Divi, you just go to beach and get chairs and umbrellas from beach guys - no need to go to reception.  Very easy to get taxi at Divi - and you could arrange for driver who takes you to pick you up at set time.  You may want to stop in town on way back to ship and look around before going rest of way to port.

I’ve been thinking about going to Divi for the day. I’ve seen the beach day on Viator for $40/pp (includes the chairs/umbrella, not transportation) and I heard that you can book a day pass through the resort.  Can you reliably taxi to the resort and rent chairs without a day pass?

  14. I saved over $100 canceling and rebooking my excursions. I recommend double checking what you paid before, though, because not all of the sale prices are actually less. They were for my excursions, though. 😊
