My husband and I want to do a cruise and land tour out of Vancouver (actually, we will have free round trip tickets to Seattle, then take the train to Vancouver.)
We would like to do a cruise that goes through Glacier Bay, and a land tour that sees wildlife and beautiful views (not so much history buffs) in June 2018. Only a balcony will do.
I see that Princess, NCL and Holland America have cruises that go into Glacier Bay.
Is there an itinerary that will give us Glacier Bay and then a great land tour experience, where we would end up back in Vancouver?
All advice is welcome.

Been there, done that for 6 of the 10 at Kennedy Space Center.
But someone out together an amazing compilation here of things to do that I thought you would enjoy.
Thanks, all!

Good ideas. but not all kids are climbers/surfer candidates. A few chubby ones like me. Other options?

Our "on a tiny budget" college students ages 20-26 are wondering what to do in Port Canaveral, since the cost of doing Disney or Universal or Sea World for such a short a time is not in the budget. And they were bored to tears about Kennedy Space Center.
What would you recommend? We are there only one day off the Norwegian Gem in May from 1 to 9.
We are all from the Northeast. Kids are mostly adventure seekers, but not all.
I appreciate your ideas.
Happy holidays to all!

We'd like to see them too!

I see on NCL's excursion lists that there are 3 different dolphin experiences in Nassau, with 3 different prices. Balmoral, Atlantic and Blue Lagoon.
We have a party of 10... mostly college kids who have never swum with dolphins before. They would want the full encounter. That said... I have 10 people to go on this excursion. NOT CHEAP!
Can anyone compare the excursions for us? Best experience? Best beach afterwards? We may all not do the dolphin swim... just watch and enjoy the beach afterward.
Any advice you can share would be appreciated.
Thanks!

No, we do not leave until the 2nd week of October. I will post my review when we return. But I have read from other reviews that Duran Duran's tour was a blast.
Thanks.

What is the cooking tour?

We are sailing on the Coral Princess in October on a 10-day Panama Canal Cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. How late are the pools and hot tubs open? We love evening hot tubs!
Thank you!

Hello. My husband and I will be sailing on the Coral Princess on the October 9th Panama Canal cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. We would love to participate in cooking classes. Do they have them on the Coral Princess on this longer itinerary with 4 days at sea? Or do they just feature demonstrations?
If so, what are the classes? Extra charge for the classes?
Do they also offer a Galley Tour? I heard there is a paid tour, but also that you can make arrangements with your maitre'd and he will arrange for a tour for you at no charge.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

We are cruising in October out of Fort Lauderdale. Need a one night stay pre-cruise. When is the best time to try a Priceline bid? Soon or wait until later?
Thanks!

Hello. We are staying 3 extra days after our cruise in October on the Coral Princess out of Fort Lauderdale.
Any recommendations on rental car companies? Is there a rental car office at the cruise port or nearby?
Or do we have to take a cab to an office? Or is there a rental car shuttle that takes cruise passengers to their office?
Any advice would be welcome.

Whoops... yes, we will have a rental car!

Cruising for 10 days on the Coral Princess mid October. Need ideas for places to stay, things to do for Wed - Sun post cruise visit. Fort Lauderdale, Miami, gulf coast, the Keys? (No Key West. It is Fantasy Fest that weekend. No way.)
- We are a chubby 50's couple
- Beach resort or resorts wanted
- Beautiful, romantic but not too pricey
- Fun activities but no extreme sports, hiking, historic or museum tours
- We like to go where the locals go, eat what they eat
Ideas?
Thanks!

Hello... we will be visiting Limon and hopefully doing a tour while on our Coral Princess cruise in October. On many of the tours by tour operators, it lists a banana plantation tour stop, which sounds fascinating, to see how it works.
But is the plant open on Saturdays? If yes, what goes on there that day if the workers are not there?
If not, what do you do there instead, or do you not visit?
Thanks!

Hello. My husband and I are celebrating our 3rd honeymoon with a cruise on the Coral Princess in October. We will be staying overnight pre-cruise on a SATURDAY in October, and are searching for a nice restaurant for a great experience.
We WANT:
- a fun or romantic place that will be memorable - we love great experiences or incredible views or something wow about the restaurant, decor or staff
- great value, good and plentiful eats
- perhaps where the locals go
We do NOT want:
- something extravagant or outrageously priced
- stuffy, too dressy atmosphere
- the place to be seen - who cares?
- teensy portions
- no Indian or Korean foods
We welcome your ideas for a fantastic meal.
Thank you!

Hello. We are a couple in our 50's on our 3rd honeymoon cruising on the Coral Princess out of Fort Lauderdale in October, looking to find a pre-cruise hotel for 1 night - a SATURDAY.
We would like a hotel that has a free shuttle to the cruise port or from the airport, which has a nice breakfast in the morning.
We do not want anything fancy, nor a true budget hotel. Somewhere in the middle.
Which would you recommend?
Thanks much!

Thank you all for your suggestions. We changed our sailing date. We will now be in Cartagena on Thursday, October 13th.
I did some research and I may now seek otr a tour with Duran Duran... with a Cooking Class and visit to a Cartagena market. The reviews are fantastic, and this sounds right up our alley, as opposed to visiting forts and churches... not our thing.
Any other ideas... send them along!
Thank you!

Are there unique silver jewelry store in Cartagena?
No, I don't want Diamonds International or gold or gemstones. Unique silver pieces, necklaces, earrings, pins is what I collect.
Any ideas there?
Thanks!

Hello. I am a collector of marcasite or vintage jewelry like Judith Jack, or unique silver pieces.
Are there any stores in Grand Cayman who offer those? (Pleeeease.... not another Diamonds International store!!!!)

Hello, all. DH and I are cruising on the Coral Princess this October on the partial Panama Canal route. We are planning on taking the Gatun Lake and Locks Cruise & Embera Indians Tour through Princess (since you can't get off the ship unless you take a Princess tour.)
I was watching some videos on the Embera Indians of Panama, and was intrigued by the beautiful fabric skirts or sarongs the women wore. Perhaps they are called something else????
Are those fabric for sale during the tour in their little village market?
Also, if you've taken this tour, we'd love to hear your feedback. We are a 50 something chubby couple looking to have a wonderful but not too strenuous experience in Panama.
Thanks!
Is there a Cruise Tour FROM Vancouver that ends there too?
in Alaska

Wow... 20 days! 14 would be stretching it. We still both work! We will have to find another solution. Thanks for your suggestions, though!
