One question of how much does NCL cater to Canadians - Do they serve Ceasar's in the bars or must I be content with a Bloody Mary?

Add this to my list of things I just do not get.

 

* Having medical procedure done while in the middle of the ocean

* Having teeth whitening done while at sea - dangers, limited eating afterwards?

* Buying valuable art work from a shop you can not return to

* Buying jewelry when there are plenty of shops at home

* Buying all kinds of junk that just goes in the closet when you get home

* Buying all those $10-$20 photos that nobody every looks at again

 

Just me, but I just don't get some of this stuff.

I would add

* Getting a Tattoo - can't put sunlight on it or get it wet until it heals

Blamar...did you have any issues booking with Canadian Credit Card,

and address??? I tried twice last week for the first time & bids got rejected so I wondered if it was the Canadian address thing???

No problem at all using a Canadian Visa. I started my bids at $50 and went up by $10. At $70 it worked.

We got the CP LA Harbour for three nights last week of Feb for $70. It appears to be a reasonable deal.

Thanks for the great job of information coming from this panel on CD's. It does make a great deal of sense and now I see where my original misconception of confusing the CD and port lecturer got confused. On my first two cruises, long long ago, they were the same person.

Although I think a cruise with a bad CD is better than no cruise at all.

I have been on a few cruises now and most of the cruise directors come of with the sincerity of a used car salesman. Aside from organizing opportunities to raise additional money for the line (eg. Horse Races) and selling off needle-point kits or ceramic pots (eg. Scholarship at Sea), I have yet to see what they do. It often appears that they are there to pitch you to go to the places where they get an ample kickback from shopping excursions.

I am probably too cynical so hopefully those of you out there will less jaundiced eyes can enlighten me.
