  1. Bought the surf package on Equinox during January. It was fine for checking email and reading news sites. I have a home internet camera which I check while traveling. Surf package WOULD NOT stream the video. I used my wife's free Elite minutes to check it and the faster speed package would stream. Would buy it again for what it is good for but does have bandwidth limitations.

Check In is still using the old format, if you added your cruise to “My Celebrity” it uses the new version where you also add your photo but it does not show Concierge.   Anyway, enjoy your cruise!

That was strange also using new version. Said photo would be added but never asked for them🤔

I went through “Check In” at the top of the Celebrity page & this time it printed out the the old Xpress Pass which does show Concierge Class.  If you added your reservation under “My Celebrity” it prints out a totally different Xpress Pass with no Concierge Class.  Very strange.

Thanks for the tip!! That did it for us also. New version says Concierge Class not Veranda like other.

Interesting. Just looked at mine for a cruise next month and it gives my cabin number and does say Concierge. You may want to confirm with your TA or Captains Club that you do have a C2 cabin.

Thanks for response. Called CC and got no help there other than saying Concierge should be on my sea pass card. No explanation for why Xpress Pass doesn't say it.

  5. We are Pinnacle on RCI and will be doing mostly X in the future. Silhoutee blew our socks off last Dec. Now just off a back to back on Equinox and several more Celebrity cruises are now booked. Celebrity still allows you to book a "place holder cruise" that is completely flexible and totally refundable. Only a $100 pp deposit as you don't really know what length cruise you will be taking. RCI quit doing this about 3 years ago. We arrived at the POM about 10:20 AM and were on board at 10:35. The OVC opened about 10:55 to handle all the early arrivals. Service was outstanding everywhere both weeks. Our turn around day took about an hour. We just walked past a border protection officer holding up our pass ports. I was so impressed with the entertainment as I didn't expect much except for the ubiquitous live music in various venues. But the first week,a Motown type group called Uptown was so entertaining and high energy. The second week there was a ventriloquist, comedian whose show was a lot of fun. Another show last week, on the last night, was a Beatles tribute called "All McCartney". Fun and nostalgic. Of course the demographic was different from our December cruise. But still not enough children to be a problem tho' the younger adult crowd did impact the solarium and pools more then the winter cruisers. We thought the food in the OVC for breakfast and lunch was outstanding. Dinner there was not as good as it was on Silhoutte. Ate in both Murano and Tuscan Grill and both were quite good. At Tuscan my side dish of lobster alfredo had a ton of lobster, Disappointingly, the risotto was not nearly as good as the risotto at Giovanni's Table on RCI. Waiters all over the ship knew me by name by the second week. I hope to be down to my usual weight before our next X cruise in Sept.!

Thanks for the info. We are in a similar position, just short of P on RCCL but fed up with the direction they are moving. We have our first X cruise in December then another in January Have 4 more booked and if all goes well will make the switch.

  6. Thanks for the info. We are on the first real cruise after the re-frub. Looks like they are doing a couple one 1 night shake downs before we board on May 20....Hoping our experience is better than the one we had on the Allure in 2013.

We are done with the big ships at RCL. Have been on Oasis, Allure, Harmony, Quantum, and Anthem. Just to big and targeting young family cruisers. Unfortunately this is the trend with Freedom Class also. Indy is getting the treatment of water slides, library turned into cabins, additional cabins hung off the front of the gym, and public spaces being reduced. Hopefully you will enjoy the itinerary.
