  1. OK great!! Thank you! I looked on Carnivals website for the fun shops but they only had regular Crown no apple so I wasn't sure if they had it or not!

Yw ,yeah it seems not to last long in the shops .so get it while they have it ,or get some in port .

  2. I have talked to people that have lived previously down in the amber cover area and they said it was bad ,as in the haitian ppl living there ,crime rate was high ,police officers corrupt ,but now they say it is even worse ,I don't believe we will be going there any time in the future .Worrying about being robbed ,or attacked while on a cruise is not an option IMHO.

  3. I'm going to do a more extensive review, as my family and I were on this sailing as well, but I had to commend you for all of the details you've given on the Sunshine. It brought back some fond memories of last week. I swear I'm going through withdrawal not being on that boat anymore!

I liked the Sunshine... a lot! All of the complaints seem to have been blown out of proportion. I thought they did an excellent job of utilizing the space they had to revitalize a mid size ship. This is NOT the Dream or the Breeze. We've been on both so I was scared a little about the Sunshine FKA as the Destiny. However, we had an absolute blast and felt quite at home after the first night. It helped to have an aft room on Deck 5... 5335. Amber is so right, Deck 5 is your friend on this ship!

we are looking at booking a cabin in that area trixiegal .It looks very convienent to just pop your head out to the promenade at dinner time to see if there is much of a line for the your time dining .Was there any noise at all back there ?

  4. I was looking for info on my cabin 2284 online and came across a message on the Carnival Funville boards that talks about noise in the cove balcony's.

<<If you are in a cove balcony Cabin # 2284 - 2302 and 2309 - 2329 the noise for the ship is so bad you will not sleep.

The vibration is so bad from the water running down the side of the ship it will rattle thing off your table and counters.

With all the cruises we have done I have never heard a noise like this from the stabilizers.

Go to the front desk if you have a problem they know about it. >>

Has anyone on the Dream experienced the same thing, especially for the entire cruise? Originally I was booked in 2309 and switched to port side 2284. Now must I worry about getting any sleep? An occasional moan and groan is one thing, but all night??? The original poster did not say where there cruise went to or that seas were rough, etc. Please advise. I know so many of you love the cove's, maybe this is just one person that CANNOT be pleased?

Stayed in that very cabin ,it was very quiet and didn't experience any noise's as you described .

  5. Just returned from a B-2-B aboard "Valor", and found out the last day that Calvyn is moving to "Paradise". That left me wondering where Steve is going to wind up? Anyone know? I HATE to see Calvyn move to one of my favorite ships, as I don't particularly enjoy his cruises, and would REALLY prefer that Steve stay aboard Paradise, and continue to play that fiddle. ;)

    "SKY"

He is just getting a break /vacation for two months. He is leaving on the 25th of this month and returning on July the 25th.
