Yes, it is on the Serenade. We have it booked on our upcoming Jan 15th cruise at the cost of $79.00 per person.
-
It was a bit weird that they added Serenade to the RCI app last week so by April they might add Grandeur.
Biker19....what app are you referring to? We will be on Serenade Jan 15th
-
We will also be Sailing on the Serenade in 4 weeks. Anxiously awaiting the posting of the Cruise Compasses and to read your review. Thanks!

Okay, we just got off the Ecstasy a week back and we have Liberty coming up on Oct. 15........
I will also be cruising the Liberty on Oct 15th. I am treating my parents to a cruise for their anniversary. It's been a rough year so far having lost my Grandmother to cancer in May.....Mom & Dad are really looking forward to this get-a-way and I am blessed that I can treat them to this trip.
I have cruised the Liberty before and she is my favorite Carnival Ship. She has gained a few upgrades since my last cruise. Looking forward to enjoying the Liberty as if it were my first time. Cant wait.....4 more weeks!!!

Husband and wife. Actually only have one account. Obc added to that account. Unless you open separate accounts. Then it goes to the primary person in cabin.

If the OBC is applied to the primary person in the cabin, a quick trip to guest services to request it to be split between all parties will remedy your situation

Having Sailed both of these ship, my preference would be the Liberty hands down. Liberty is a bit more up to date--Sensation is a smaller, older ship. Besides, Guys Burgers is FABULOUS!!! We will be aboard the Liberty again in October....cant wait!

Last month on the Vision, they offered a 10 drink card for $75.00 and they did NOT charge me a gratuity. Offered it on night 5 of a 10 day cruise.
-
I was on the same Vision sailing. I was able to purchase this card on the 6th day (evening) of a 10 day cruise. Was well worth the $75....& NO gratuity was added.

Loved the Vision....just got off yesterday. The crew was outstanding all the way around. Christian at the R Bar was fabulous as was Bruce (he left at the end of this cruise to go home for 2 months). We enjoyed Chops, Giovanni's, Izumi & the Chef's Table twice (on the last night, they put together a different menu for those interested in a 2nd seating). Our cabin was fabulous, though a bit noisy. An all around outstanding cruise.

We usually are on board by 11:15-11:30 - unless there's fog in the bay, then all bets are off for boarding.
Is there any specific time of year when fog is an issue? We are sailing January 11th out of Tampa

BoA recently replaced my RCI Visa Signature card. The new one has the security chip in it. Everything else about the card looks the same.

Not a Keurig, it takes the pre made filter bags. Old school
Thanks!:D

I always bring my own creamer.....something that important to me....I don't want to risk the possibility of them NOT having what I want.
While on the subject of coffee.....we are booked in a JS on the Vision in January. I've read there is a coffee maker in the room. Can someone provide me more details on this? Is it a Keurig? TIA!

We booked in May 2014 for our upcoming 10 day on the Vision in Jan 2016. We took advantage of the BOGO sale and booked a JS on deck 8 for $3400.00 (taxes, insurance & pre-paid gratuities). The last time I checked prior to all the Suites, JS & Balconies being "sold out" a JS was pricing at $8800.00!
In my experience, the further out you book the better. I like being able to choose my cabin location as opposed to taking whatever is left. We tend to cruise for the itinerary....then the ship.

We will be cruising aboard the Vision OTS in January 2016 for 10 glorious days. We would love to experience the Chef's Table, can anyone tell me how to book this in advance of boarding? We have done this on other cruise lines and would love to experience it on Royal. Also, I've seen others mention a "Silver pass", what exactly is it? Thanks in advance.

Thx for the quick reply. I know several fellow cruisers traveling with me will be disappointed. :(

I do have a question, do they serve Lobster on the menu on the Formal night? I know they have the upcharge Lobster dinner, do they offer Lobster without the upcharge?
-
I believe it changed slightly, but the new listed price that I see is $67 per day WHICH INCLUDES THE GRATUITY. It works out to about $2 more, plus a higher gratuity. But not as much as you are suggesting (which is GOOD because I did not pre-purchase it yet!)
Maybe the pricing is different depending on the length of the cruise. The price I quoted is for a 3 day weekend cruise to the Bahamas. I just checked my upcoming 10 day cruise to the Southern Caribbean and the same drink package is $55.00 per day.....Go Figure!
-
do both people in the cabin have to purchase a package? my wife is not a drinker and gets by with the free stuff (tap water / ice tea etc).
No Royal Caribbean does NOT require each person in a cabin to purchase a drink package.....that is Carnival
-
The drink packages have also increased in price. I prepaid for the Ultimate package for my upcoming cruise at $55 per day plus 15% gratuity. Now that same package is $65.00 per day with a 18% gratuity!
Glad I prepaid at the lower price!

When booking, they will inquire about any food allergies you may have and adjust the menu accordingly. Enjoy!

We put two bottles in each carryon bag and then go through separate scanners. They don't check what room your in.Works every time
This was my question. I am going on a group cruise aboard the Enchantment in April. My BFF (cabin mate) & I will be boarding separately at separate times. I want to bring 2 bottles of wine as does she. Based on your comments & my thoughts, there should be no problem for both of us to be able to board with 2 bottles, right? I mean how do they know if I board at 11 am with 2 bottles and she boards at 2pm with 2 bottles....they don't keep track of how many bottles have already boarded for each cabin, right?

Thanks for the review! We will be on the Vision NEXT January. Just curious, did you stay in a nearby hotel the night before? If so, where???

Is there a way to book the Chef's Table in advance of embarking?
Mystery Dinner on the Serenade
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
The Mystery Dinner Theater was held in Giovanni's Italian Restaurant. There were 4 long tables set up with approximately 20 people at each table. The tables were designated as teams for the purpose of trying to figure out "who done it". I don't want to give anything else away and spoil all the fun. As for the food, everyone was served an Antipasti plate, followed by a choice of 1 of 3 appetitizers: Soup of the Day, Mozzarella & Tomato Salad or a Beef Carppaccio. Then there was a choice of 1 of 3 entrees: Gnocchi Gorgonzolla, Filet Mignon with roasted garlic mashed potato puree or Grilled Prawns with cherry tomatoes and garlic butter potato puree. For dessert a choice of 1 of 3: Tiramisu, Torta di Chocolate or Ice cream & sorbet.
The food was excellent and the event was very entertaining. We had a great time.
