Did you pack them in your suitcase?  When it came to taking them on and off the ship for ocean use can I assume you carried them at that point?  Thank you.

Mine fits wrapped around the inside of my large, checked bag. When I get off, I can fit it into my beach bag but could be carried off and on also

  2. I haven't read all the comments, so someone may have already given you this tip: take duct tape to put a small piece over the sensor for the "nightlight" - I can't believe anyone likes that spotlight glaring in your face when you're half awake. I do the duct tape thing every Princess cruise since they installed those lights. Also, I hope you canceled your bid if you wouldn't want to move to another cabin now. And, if you do specialty dining - Rudy's the Catch is the best seafood I've had on a ship. O'Malley's has a good casual dining menu and they've had some great Irish style entertainment in the past. I love Enchanted and will be on her twice more this year. I hope you enjoy it too!

We did this 2 years ago. We took a taxi from the airport to Fairmont. The Princess cruise at that time docked in front of the Fairmont! I’d check to make sure they still dock there.

Thanks for the info - at least I know taxis will go there though I may use Uber.  I've been searching online for answers and really am not finding any information. Even the port's website does not tell the terminal - instead it says N/A for Emerald Princess.

  4. I've booked a cruise on Emerald Princess for October and have booked my own one-way flight. I am trying to figure out a few things: What's the best way to get to the port from the airport (I called Princess and they tell me the shuttle is only available from 10am to 2pm - my flight arrives at 3:30pm)? About how much should I expect to pay? I travel solo. Which terminal does Princess normally dock at? Thanks for any help. I've never been to Quebec City and won't know my way around so detailed help is even better :)

  5. I booked a fall trip and needed a one-way flight to get to the ship. I looked at EzAir, then went to the American Airlines website. The difference in price was over $100 so I booked directly through American. Today I tried to find out if I could buy a transfer. After talking to someone it appears transfers from Quebec airport to the ship (only $29) are only available from 10 am to 2 pm. My flight arrives at 3:30 pm. She was ready to take my credit card number for the transfer until I kept questioning her regarding whether my flight was even eligible (that's another story). In the end, I didn't buy the transfer but she did tell me I needed to enter my independent flight info online. After hanging up, I went to the website and the questions looked simple. My flight is 2 legs - FLL-PHL (American Airlines) and PHL-YQB (American Eagle). No matter which way I try to enter the info, the website tells me I've entered an invalid flight number. I tried from FLL-YQB with the final flight number choosing both American Airlines and American Eagle, tried from PHL-YQB the same way. Tried FLL-YQB with first flight number, etc. I can't think of any other combinations to try. I've spent 2 hours on this so far between the original phone call and trying to register online. Anyone have any insight to this or do I just need to call another clueless Princess agent for assistance?

  6. I've brought a pool noodle on multiple cruises and never had a problem. I never tried to use it in the pool, only in the ocean. I think it might be difficult to use it in the pool since they are usually so busy/full of people.

Related question and I think I know most of the answer but not sure about the second part.

Upgrade to premier on board.  Already paid for specialty dining before the cruise.

#1 -  I am relatively confident the funds paid towards two of the meals can be converted to on board credit since two meals are included in the premier package. True?

#2 - Assuming #1 is true, does this require visiting guest services or will the system be smart enough to figure it out? I'm assuming the former on this one, but curious if anyone has direct experience.

I don't know the answer to your exact question but I would just cancel the two dinners you pre-booked and get the credit back now either to your OBC or credit card, depending how you paid for it.

  8. Anyone with an April cruise - today I received another "sale" email for my April cruises. Price for Hideaway Beach is $26.99 + Bahamas tax $29.68 total for both my April cruises. Email indicates price is good through tomorrow. My last trip there wasn't good only because I didn't feel well. I wanted to give it another try. I booked for one of the cruises today. My previous low price was $22 but $25 with Bahamas tax added.

One loophole that still exists at Terminal 1 at Port Canaveral is you pay for parking when you enter the parking garage (just did this yesterday for Allure). So if you are on a B2B (or longer) you only pay for the first leg of your cruise. I have never had to pay for parking for the entire cruise when doing a B2B out of Port Canaveral.

Is it the same out of terminal 5 does anyone know?

We booked it as a 14 day with one booking number.  I will get a crystal clear explanation from a supervisor at customer service.  If they don't let us upgrade the last 7 days, or they don't have gift cards for sale, it'll be 280 back in cash and a 20 loss at the slots with my 300 in non-refundable OBC.

When I went on my last 14 day/one booking number cruise (earlier this year) I had to buy Plus for the entire 14 days (I bought it at guest services on the first day in order to use my OBC). I'm actually not sure exactly the value of Premier over Plus (many times they don't have most of the high end wines that would make it worthwhile but YMMV).

  11. I was on Enchanted a couple of months ago. It IS a very small venue. If you have your heart set on dining a certain time, I would go very early, grab a table, order drinks and stay. They won't kick you out (or at least when I was on they didn't). They had great entertainment at the time and it was extremely busy every evening once the band started to play. The food was very good, entertainment a definite plus and if you have the Plus or Premier package it's a great value. Getting a table around 6 can be a problem, but going after the band is done might work. Better to go around 5 at least on Enchanted.

Not exactly.  Princess says this but Stockperks won't process anything after July 31 until May.

Just this week, I applied for and received my OBC for my October 2024 cruise. I was happy with the email process and this Stockperks process is even easier. Received within about 15 minutes...was shocked!

My Wonder otS on a December 8 cruise is showing $209 pp with current promotion (discounted from 259), expiring midnight tonight.

Dynamic pricing ticks me off - why should your ship and date matter? You’re paying for the same stuff … 59 for person A and 209 for person B ….BS.

Totally agree, all I can say is they charge that way bc they can...same with Hideaway Beach. Did it for $22 while it's now being charged $28-60 pp. No way would I pay more than $30

  14. From Royal Caribbean web page

In order to safely board most tenders, guests must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair. In addition, motorized wheelchairs and mobility scooters can not be taken on tenders, unless roll-on capability is available. Inquire about tender roll-on capability at Guest Relations Desk while on board. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/accessible-cruising/additional-assistance#:~:text=In order to safely board,Relations Desk while on board.

  15. My last cruise I was in a connecting balcony but not with anyone I was cruising with. The outside balcony door between cabins was still unlocked when I checked in. The cabin steward used a special tool to lock it. Since housekeeping is only once a day unless in a suite, I'm not sure your steward would want to open it every morning and lock it every night. You can of course lock your sliding glass door to the balcony. It appeared the connecting door inside the cabin was locked or unlocked with an actual key. YMMV

Are you a single traveler or were you able to add it on for just you in the room?  We are trying to figure out how to make it work, Hubby is listed as 1st passenger, but he doesn't want the plus, Me #2 and Daughter #3 do. 🙂

    I travel solo...sorry I can't help
