  1. We went to Emerald Beach on Feb. 10th 2018. We used the facilities at Emerald Beach Hotel. Great views, calm seas, chairs were 7 or 10 dollars depends on location. Beach bar up and running and you can use the restrooms. Only down side is that there was some rocks in the water.

Were there restaurants nearby for a quick lunch? And we don't need a daypass to use their facilites?

Also, how long was the cab ride? Thank you so much.

  2. The lifeboats are below ALL of the side balcony cabins...doesn't matter which deck, you will see them. The "Hump" cabins jut out a bit so they are less in evidence...but they are visible.

The "extended" balconies on deck 7 lack privacy...the balcony divider doesn't go all the way to the outside railing. You will have about 2 ft. of just railing separating you from your neighbor.

The lifeboats do NOT "obstruct" your outward view at all. You simply won't be able to count the barnacles on the hull of the ship.

I switch my answer then. I usually love a hump, but I love my privacy more:-)

  3. I thought it was fine. First go round didn't have a great experience, and the food was just OK. Gave it one more try, and it was so much better. We started out with the Risotto Balls (Called something more sophisticated, I'm sure), and the Bruschetta. Hubs ordered lasagna and a side of broccolini with garlic. I had the Penne Pomodoro, and it was quite good. Definitely not the higher end of specialty dining, but good enough. We had the dining package, so thought we might as well try it:-)

  4. We just got off the Harmony yesterday, and loved the cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was worried about the service, based on previous reviews, but was worried for nothing. They were all so nice, especially when I had my kids with me. One waiter at Sorentos came up to chat with my 4 year old the first night and brought out complementary sodas to the kids. Our waiters in the dining room were all very sweet and made sure to bring the kids fruit to snack on at the beginning of dinner. We used MTD and had about 3 different waiters. I had lunch in the dining room with just my 4 year old one day, and got up to check out the dessert display and left her at the table. At least 2 waiters stopped to check on her while I was away (I wasn't that far off and could still see the table while I was up).

We just got off Anthem yesterday. I can honestly say I didn’t run across a single rude or unhappy crew member. This is the first cruise we never entered the dining room , instead dining at Specialty restaurants or the Windjammer. Sat in the same section every meal, and Albert took great care to get our Diet Cokes and delivered with a smile [emoji4]

I'm so glad to have found your post - we have this cabin booked on Anthem in October. The cabin/balcony looks great! Did you have any issues with smelling cigarette smoke on the balcony? I read in an earlier post that that is the smoking side of the ship?

    Thank you!

  6. Sorry and Thanks--Yes I am the OP-----I was crazy busy at work!! OK it is MY fault--I did get an e-mail and a phone call--I did not recognize the # and let it go. MY Fault------I am so Grateful to the 67 responses... Here is the update

Got another call from TA -since we booked with 4 other couples AND cross referenced all four bookings-mine was the only one cancelled-BUT the TA and her company Pres put some pressure on RCCl--informed them of the July 4 Holiday and other factors. RCCL lived up to the original booking and I paid in full immediately. Thank You for all the responses-and debates. Cruise Critic is wonderful!!!
