We are going on the Quantum OTS in May 2024 and staying at the Hotel Theodore. It's across from a mall type place and a few blocks to the monorail that goes to the Space Needle. Pikes Place isn't far either. The price was right and it got decent reviews.

If they offer a bamboo massage get it! They massage your back with bamboo sticks and it feels wonderful. If you do the spa, port days are cheaper. Check their calendars. 

Some of those Farcus ships are horrid. The Victory was the worst!!! Can't tell you how many times I bashed my knee on those seahorses at the bottom of each stairwell. 

I'm taking my husband on the Paradise later this year so we can see one of the old ships before they go out. 

You did good with deck 11. We've stayed on 10 and 11 and loved it. 

We had a boardwalk view on our Allure cruise and got one for our Symphony cruise in two weeks. It's my favorite type of room! We scored the one on the very end closest the the AquaTheatre this time and I can't wait. 

You won't regret it. Everything outside will be quiet by midnight. 

I understand the flights are expensive and figured that had something to do with it. But even with expensive flights those prices seemed insanely cheap.

Last night, the husband and I looked at some Australian cruises next year and the year after. A lot of these are $42-$50/night which to me sounded insanely cheap. 

Is there a reason these are so cheap? Are the port fees different because you never really leave the country, just go up and down the coast and out to some islands. 

We're going on Symphony in 2 weeks and paid $54.99 for the DBP and I believe $166 for the UDP. I never saw it go any lower than that.  

I had Chuck Taylors on the zip lines and they were fine. BUT I had to wear my ones that tied, the slip on type that don't tie (even though they cover your entire foot and fit just like the regular tie ones do) aren't going to fly. They made me go back and get shoes that tied. 

Thanks all! The price did go back down to $44/pppd today so I went on and booked it. Don't want to miss it again.

Going on a cruise over Thanksgiving. Two weeks ago the deluxe beverage package was $44/pppd

I go to buy it today and it's up to $59/pppd

Any chance of it going back down? Or will it go up as the date gets closer?

The unlimited dining went from $179 to $199 too.

Kicking myself in the butt for not booking it two weeks ago. .

I just went through this at a hotel. We still had to pay the resort fee even though everything was closed except the hotel rooms. No pool, no pool deck, no gym, nothing. Yet they still charged it.

Totally just found it. It was under "activities." I kept looking under shore excursions for the sea days and all that was coming up was a scuba certification. Derp. 

I agree with some of the above to, about the galley tour being tight, my BF and I have a reason we want to do this again, so if they offer it we're going to do it. 

Ah, and yes it is Sip Tour Brunch. 🙂 I realized that right after I posted this. 

We're booked on a Thanksgiving cruise this year on the Oasis (fingers crossed).

When we went on the Allure a few years back we did a tour of the galley with a brunch afterward and want to do that again. Do you know when RC will put these in the cruise planner for booking? It's not out there right now. I'm thinking 90 days out it may be out there. 

Vista cruise last year - this family of 4 at the table next to us. You could tell the parents were probably hippies in a past life before they had kids. Dad had no shoes on. No socks. Nothing. 

When they played the little Italian song he got up and strutted around the dining room waving his napkin...all barefoot. 

I asked our waiter if shoes were mandatory and he just shrugged his shoulders.

We had YTD so we figured we wouldn't see them again but lo and behold, the next night, sat right next to them and still no shoes or socks on the dad. 

I looked at my BF and we politely asked for another table. We didn't see them again for the rest of the cruise.

We'll be on her in Feb and can't wait!

We went on the Vista last year and loved it. The best part was the "secret breakfast" as we started calling it in the Plaza area. It's a little breakfast buffet with all the basics (eggs..potatoes...bacon..toast...etc.) and there was never anyone up there but us and the Captain a few days. I also super loved the Havana Bar in the back. Wouldn't hesitate to go on that class of ship again. I just saw the Horizon on Sunday docked down in Miami and started daydreaming. :-)

We went with Liberty just to save on the drive time. We're going to do the 5 day Elation one in April and tag a St Augustine trip on

Going on a 4 day cruise in October.

We were on the Vista in April and they used the Taste Bar area as a light breakfast area in the morning . We ate here every morning because there were no crowds and it was quiet.

Does Liberty do this as well?

We're going to do the Liberty and stay an extra day or 2 at the beach in Cocoa afterward.

My friend and I are in the process of booking a last minute cruise for the end of October and are going back and forth between these two boats so I wanted to get some input from you all! Which would you choose?

They're both the same price (within $2 of each other) for an oceanview room.

They both leave the week we need them to (Oct 21 and Oct 22)

The Liberty is a bigger ship but the cruise is only 4 days against the Elation which is 5 days.

The Elation goes to HMC and Nassau, Liberty goes to Freeport and Nassau.

I've been on the Liberty before and it's a nice pretty ship, but I like the old boats because they have a ton of character. I'm just afraid with 2 days at sea on the Elation we'll get kind of bored, especially with one pool.

The drive to Jacksonville is longer for us than the drive to Port Canaveral by about an hour and a half - 2 hours.

So, with this, which would you all pick? I've been to Nassau before, she hasn't. Nassau is the only place in the Bahamas I've been to.
