  1. I have seen where they advertise free shuttles where available.

Does anyone have experience on how these work? Are they to the port gates/enterance? City center of City visiting? City center of nearest port? etc...

We are looking at the Nov 6 Journey that stops in:

    Rome

    Florence/Livorno

    Monte Carlo

    Province/Marseilles

    Barcelona

    Palma De Mallorca

    Valencia

    Gibralter

    Malaga.

Also does anyone know if any of these ports are generally tender ports for azamara vs docking?

    Thanks!

  2. So my question is more in concern for another person in our party on a 4 day caribbean cruise. I intend to get the drink package as I like to have the freedom to get specialty teas, wine at dinner, drinks by the pool, etc, and not worry about my bill racking up.

One of the members in our party has only been on 1 prior cruise which was Carnival. When I mentioned the drink package she mentioned that she intended to smuggle on her alcohol in her luggage. I read on the X website that they can kick you off for doing so. Has anyone heard of this actually happening? How easy/hard/strict are they on this policy? It would put a lot of stress on the group if she was kicked off, but so far it seems like she is bound to at least try. I guess I just didn't know how serious of a thing this was. Is it a smack on the hand, or a serious offense?

She seems to not understand that this is not in the same category of cruises as her prior Carnival cruise. She is very "cheap". I am budget oriented, but I feel like vacations should be a time to relax and kick back. I am hoping to make this a enjoyable experience for us all.

Anyone have any info on what usually happens in this situation as well as how we could possibly convince her to just go ahead and buy drinks on the ship?

  3. I was just here two weeks ago and We loved this port! It was our last stop and very relaxing...just what we needed!!! We got there earlier than most and got to enjoy it all to ourselves for a little while...as we were leaving it got a little crowded, but overall still very nice. I'm pretty sure we got a bucket (6) of beer, table, umbrella, 4 chairs, 2 lounge chairs for $5. For the two of us we spent $15 the entire time in port. Planned on getting a massage but didn't have time. Water is very nice and clear with soft sand.
