  1. Thanks for your replies.

Anything cake is good for me and I do enjoy a good coffee but have to limit myself so that my heart doesn't start racing, they can be quite strong so I order hot water too.

Really looking forward to our cruise now, counting the days.

  2. Not had the pleasure of cruising Celebrity before but will be doing so very soon.

Do you get charged for tea and coffee whilst on the ship or is it free at meal times? I understand there may be a charge for tea if it's not your ordinary breakfast tea or coffee with frothy milk or liquor in it. Just trying to work out any potential costs.

  3. We have booked a S2 room on the Eclipse and upon reading the list of amenities this type of room brings I noticed that you get two complementary fee free meals at two restaurants of your choosing.

    1-has anyone experienced this before?

2-will we get a reservation if we leave it for our butler guy to make the reservation because I will get charged if I make the booking on line?

    Thanks

  4. Thanks for the information and advice, knew I could count on you guys for guidance.

I should have typed D&V, roughly translated sickness top and bottom, literally.

Don't sail till a week today so should be sorted by then.

    Thanks again for your input.

  5. Due to sail next week and unfortunately haven't been very well with DMV. Over the worst now my system is just getting back to normality slowly.

What is the time period for being allowed to board after such an illness is it 48 hours? Don't want to drive to Southampton and be told NO BOARDING for you mate!

  6. I am with you guys too, love watching what's going on. It would be great to see the happenings at Southampton, adds to the excitement if your counting down the days to your own cruise.

I like to watch the Mersey River Cams when Liverpool is hosting cruise ships for the day you can get different angles of the ship by switching cams.

  7. Reading the posts for the above named ship, it can't help but think that she is due for some touch up work before sailing here in the UK for the summer months.

I have looked at her sailing schedule and she arrives endish of April to start her new sailings Mayish. Will there be time for any touch up work or will it be straight to business?

Although there have been negative posts there have also been positive ones too, which does make you question who is telling the truth.

    Very confusing.com

  8. I too use CPS when sailing from Southampton and yes it is very convenient from the Premier Inn West Quay.

I know some hotels do stay and park options and even run you to the side of the ship (nearly) too then come pick you up when you return back. Not sure on the prices though, not used that option but know of folk who have.

    Good luck.

  9. Thanks for that guys, I had found the terminal that is right in the town but will have another look for the one in IJmuiden and get bus/tram details. I hope it is the more central location because I would probably be able to push myself there rather than public transport, but I have seen that access is quite good for wheelchair users. Hey ho!

  10. Going on Ventura for a four day cruise on May 20th this year and we call into Amsterdam and stay overnight.

Just wondering if our berth will be at the cruise terminal that I have spotted on Google Earth. I am trying to get my bearings before I go so that I can plan my route into town to see the canals and shops etc.

I have found a website for busses/trams so can get an idea of which one to catch. The site is 9292.nl

    Thanks for any advice.

  11. I have received my itinerary and luggage labels and I am informed that my embarkation time is 15:45. Would it be ok for me and my party (2) to turn up in the morning and join the ship rather than wait our allocated time?

We are staying at the Premier Inn West Quay and have to vacate our room by 12 noon so don't really want to be hanging about waiting for our time slot.

I understand that P&O don't want all passengers turning up at the same time hence allocated boarding, but we would prefer to board in the morning.

    Thanks for your advice.

  12.

    Hello

    Just need some advice please.

Have booked a cruise on the Allure of the Seas for March 2015, (long wait) and I need to start thinking about where to fly into from the UK. Ideally I would like to go Manchester to FLL but it looks like it is going to be Manchester-Heathrow-Miami.

Has any UK resident flown to FLL to pick up a cruise and can advise on airport/airline?

We will be staying in a hotel the night before we sail so any recommendations are also welcome.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
