Hi Bill! Pennie and Geoff here. We will both be joining you on Jewel. We fly to San Diego in the morning!
-
Many reasons.
Some do not have a credit card and do not want to travel with cash.
Right now cruisers from Canada and the UK changer very favorable exchange rates by purchasing US$ OBC direct from Royal in their countries own currency.
Thank you.
-
Why would you want to buy OBC?

Each bar has their own list of specialty drinks. They may include some the same drinks as other bars but, not always. However, they will make you just about any drink you want as long as you can tell them what's in it, assuming they don't already know.

Congratulations!

I've never had a hold placed on debit card on any of my cruises on RCI.

We had 1264 in December and loved it. The balcony is larger than the rest and we enjoyed having some shade from the whirlpool it was, also very quiet. There is video of this cabin (not my video) on YouTube.

Dinner is planned to be a leisurely event. If you want to finish dinner sooner, just let your server know.
-
You could always put it in garment bag or plastic dust cover and carry it on board on the hangar.
-
Thanks, thats the port parking garage that is expensive.
CloseCruiser - While the port parking may be more expensive, you might want to consider the time to take a shuttle back and forth to the port. Since the port is downtown, there is no off site parking close by. Also, the port parking is covered while off site is not.

The Freedom class ships are very nice and packed with activities. Our favorite is the Radiance class ships. While they don't have as many adventurous activities, there is still a lot to do and the views are beautiful!
I must say, I have never sailed on Oasis class ships as of yet.
-
No. But I don't treat them like second class citizens. Nor do I waste my life snickering behinds people's back like a school aged child.
My day is awesome. It's sunny and 85 and the music is on and the pool is just right.
Just because I said some people would, you assume I do? Have we met? Have you been on a cruise with me? You know what they say about assuming?
-
Thank you for taking the time to post a reply, however I never worry about those who choose to snicker behind my back, I'm far too busy enjoying my vacation! I feel sorry that they have time in their day or space in their head to be worrying about me or what I'm wearing! And I speak as someone who adores dressing up on a cruise, but I want everyone to have the holiday they have dreamt about, wearing whatever they enjoy wearing.

I'm glad to hear that. Some who do ask about dress code do so because they are concerned about. I may be called a snob by some but, that's their problem not mine.
Enjoy your cruise! I'm sure you will have a blast!:D

No one cares what you prefer.
But everyone cares what you prefer? I've you offer your opinion all over these posts. The OP asked for people's thoughts, I gave mine. Just because CC is fairly anonymous doesn't rudeness should be the constant tone.
Have an especially nice day! :)

Please tell us what part of SUGGESTION makes it MANDATORY...Ill wait for you answer. You could always dine in another venue yourself..
I don't believe I said it was mandatory, however, they wouldn't suggest a dress code they didn't want you to follow. After all, they are trying to be polite. Something some posters on CC could learn from. 😉

Thank you both, that really helps and puts my mind at ease! Much appreciated [emoji3]

Keep in mind that is only two opinions. Those who do judge don't always do it to your face, but snicker behind your back. i prefer people follow the suggested dress for the MDR or dine in another venue.
And before those who say it is "my vacation", you chose to vacation on a cruise ship that has a dress code. You should respect it and your fellow passengers.
Let the flames begin! 🔥🔥🔥

It really depends on how many teens are on board. The majority of our cruises have combined the teen clubs, either there were not enough kids aboard, OR the majority of them did not attend the teen club.
You are on Liberty the beginning of April? I wouldn't guess that is a peak travel time.
I would disagree, the beginning of April could be a peak time for families because it is still in the Spring Break time period.

Where is Wii available in a public place other than on Quantum? Have never seen that on any ship.
I have seen it in the Schooner Bar and/or the card rooms. I have never been on Quantum or Oasis class. I have seen the on Radiance and Freedom class ships.

Everyone is complaining about the OBC on open bookings. Why not just pick a cruise and book it? You get the better OBC and you can still switch to different cruise later on. I have done it a couple of times.
As far as the new program, considering the time value of money, I would rather have my OBC when I pay the deposit. A $100 is worth more today than it is in the future......unless interest rates start climbing.
-
The video arcade is open to anyone but, I be.ie e they try to keep the ages separate in the teen and middle age clubs. There is also a Wii usually available in a public place on board ship.

No, 50's. Non-formal nights could be relaxed to include nice shorts but, it shouldn't be a free for all. I also think a dressy night or two should remain. 👫
-
As stated earlier a polo is fine. I think specific rule is collared shirt for men. 😄
We believe Brilliance 2016 Halloween has now been chartered!

Cancellation notices are being emailed. I haven't received mine but, several friends also on the cruise have. Bummer.
