We are looking at snorkeling with sea lions with Madryn Buceo. Has anyone done this? Do you recommend it? I loved snorkeling in Alaska and with stingrays in Grand Cayman. I feel that this would be a similarly exciting adventure. Madryn Buceo says their office is located about 1500 metres from the cruise port. This is certainly walkable. I'd love some information from anyone who has done it. Thanks in advance.

I apologize if I wasn't clear. Our basic internet was included as part of the all-included stuff, and as Casualcruisers notes, each passenger can use one device at a time to access the internet.

Thanks for the clarification

Each person gets 1 device.
Me and my wife both had basic included in the all included package and could each use 1 device.
Thank you for the clarification.

The Celebrity app proved to be fairly handy for finding your way around the ship via deck maps, checking on open/close times for bars and restaurants, discovering stuff to do each day, etc. The "My Calendar" function is unfortunately limited; users will find only their Celebrity-arranged excursions show up there, as well as reservations made for specialty restaurants, but there's no way to add personal things, such as "meet so-and-so on deck 14 at X time."
I imagine that if you're traveling with your family or a group, then the in-app text/chat thing might prove very useful if you're trying to find them, make plans, meet somewhere, etc. With just my wife, who was always with me, this feature was a novelty and we just sent a few goofy messages with silly emoticons to each other 😆
I can only speak about the basic internet package since that's what we used. First, while my bride and I could each log into the ship's WiFi individually, you can only use one device at a time per passenger. This means disconnecting from device 01 in order to log in on device 02. It's not as onerous as it might sound, but just know you can't log in each device once when you board and then seamlessly access WiFi on multiple devices, as you would on your home network.
Also, I found the internet responsiveness fluctuated greatly. I wish I could say it was better on non-sea days, when more people were off the ship, or early/late in the day, but there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I'll probably pop for the premium package next time to see if there's an improvement.
Hope this helps!

Was the basic wifi referenced here purchased with the all included package? Seems to me that if each passenger pays for it, each passenger should be able to use it. I did not realize that it was shared between devices. Am I reading this incorrectly?

Called today to upgrade my drink package and got through in about 5 minutes also. I also got a nice deal on my upgrade $197 cdn. . for a 14 night cruise!
Was that for 1 person or 2? Trying to decide for our January cruise.

I'm having the same reaction of unbelief. We just did a Carnival cruise with the kids and grandkids and was thoroughly impressed with the Carnival app before and during the cruise. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that Celebrity's app is this way but I am disappointed after using such an intuitive and helpful app. I was really hoping for more.

We just returned from a cruise out of Dover. There was a train strike on the day of our arrival so had to do a last minute pivot from train to car service. We used 247 Airport Transfer. They were a little late picking us up both ways but the service and price were very good.

Am I correct to assume that they will also be made available for the Antarctic cruises? I can picture myself sitting on the balcony wrapped up in a nice, warm blanket, sipping on a hot beverage while watching the amazing scenery and wildlife.

Really enjoying this review and your open mindedness. Thank you for sharing it! Looking forward to being on Infinity in the Antarctic in January. Not looking forward to the expected dreadful wifi.

I believe the only coffee that is excluded are those with alcohol added.
Is this new? I remember getting coffees (Cafe Diablo) with alcohol on the Classic package on my last cruise although my favourite Aspen Coffee was a $2 upcharge even though it was included on the cruise prior to that.

Soft drinks are included. Most of the coffees in Cafe Al Bacio are included but not all. Some are over the capped drink price. Usually it's only a dollar or two more and you just pay the difference.

We are a family of 8 and would love to do a canal tour as well as a city tour of Amsterdam. We arrive into Ijmuiden. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Can someone please enlighten me? Is VeriFly something that is used by US citizens only? Is it used by Carnival only? We are Canadian and cruised with another cruise line in December out of Florida with no VeriFly and no issues. Will be cruising again in a few weeks out of the UK with Carnival and trying to figure out if we need it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the detailed and informative review! Lots of tips for our upcoming first time on Pride!

We leave on an Alaskan cruise in Weds, which requires a rapid to be two days before the cruise because of Canada. We live on the East Coast and are using the BinaxNOW tests with Navica proctoring. If we take the tests at, say, 12:15am on Monday, will the test results show as Monday, or might they show as Sunday bc of time zones?
Time will show up as exactly the time you took the test, i.e. 12:15 am Monday. Your destination will have no impact on the time you took the test.

Okay, probably silly question but how many shares must one purchase to qualify for the Shareholder's credit?

A recent thread, but you may find others when you use the search option for la Rochelle on the boards.

Thank you. That is very helpful.

Thanks to both responders. Clairescurtains, I think we're on the same cruise (Carnival Pride July 31) and yes, we do stop in la Rochelle. Looks like I'll be researching that area instead.

We will be stopping for a day in Bordeaux in August. I am considering allowing the other adults in our party to enjoy a wine tour while I do something with the grandchildren ages 11 - 17. I've looked at perhaps some museums but also thought about possibly a beach day. Is there a nice beach reasonably close to the cruise port? How far are the museums from the cruise port? Thanks in advance for any information.

We did this several years ago. All photos taken anywhere on the ship or pier photos were included. We even had some done with friends. Any photos with us in it were included. We had lots of fun with it. Our package included any actual photos we saw on the boards as well as others that we were surprised to find (including some of strangers but nothing inappropriate). Once home, we received a link and were able to download everything.
-
Pre covid we were able to board at different times. Have not tried since the restart.

There is no charge for the tips.
As far as the internet package goes, we have always had two devices included with the package. Not sure where you are seeing one device only.

I would love to do this with Celebrity! Loved it once on Princess. I'm sure we would love it more with Celebrity.
