Can't leave without at least one doorway pic.😊 And also realized that we kind of match.. in plaids and in hairdos.

I took Spanish in high school but I think this commemorates the bombing of Sete in WWII.

Sete.. a lovely town to just stroll around. The last time we were here we took the all day excursion to Carcassone. It was totally worth the trip! Not to be missed. On this cruise however.. we didn't take any shore excursions. My goal was to make this as a relaxing week as possible.. a week where we didn't have to set an alarm in the morning on any of the days. We have been to all of the ports at least once so there was never any hurry to get up and go early. I'm glad to report that my goal of a very mellow week was realized. 😊

MONDAY 9/23/24 - SETE, FRANCE.

Capped off the evening with the "Captain Dario Guerrieri's Welcome." He is a true star!! So naturally warm and funny.🫡 Also nice to put names with all the friendly top staff faces that we saw daily around the ship.

Accompanied by an incredible light show courtesy of Mother Nature.⛈️

Tonight's dinner for us was the Asian Buffet in Windows.😋

Back on the ship we failed miserably at the 4:00pm trivia activity in the Living Room.😆

Caught the 2:00pm little train back to the port. On the way it chugs up the tallest hill for a lovely vista.

It was Sunday morning in Collieure and there was a busy and charming outdoor market in the middle of town. The proprietors were very enthusiastic about being in my pictures.. I asked first of course.😊

We had been to Port Vendre on a previous Azamara cruise a few years ago and a very sweet and helpful CC poster suggested to take the "Little Train" up to the town of Collioure which we did on that cruise as well as this one. You buy your ticket right near where the tender docks for 10 Euro pp round trip. You can opt to stay on the train the whole time or get off in Collioure and take a later train back to the port.

I think one of my favorite things about this cabin is this HUGE lit up makeup mirror. The extra space is nice too for sure.
