  1. Legally from any US port, the cruise lines cannot not allow you to bring your grandson on board with a notarized letter signed by only one parent. Since the father is not in the picture, then you will have to get a court order stating you are the sole legal guardian. Anybody that states that were let on with just one signature was lucky and the cruise lines violated the law. Allowing that to happen with only one signature van be a parental kidnapping, and yes grandparents have been known to take their grandkids without permission. This was put in place to prevent one parent taking off with the child. It was also put in place, so that one of the parents parent could not help by doing it themselves.

  2. Just remember that whatever they put on there WOW sale or any other price, it will be the same with every other travel agent. All prices are the same wherever you go. A travel agent can't get it cheaper than anyone else.

  3. On the Indy in December the pool attendants put little paper clocks on your chair stating the time it was put there with a 30 minute notification. So if you weren't back in 30 minutes, your chair was given up. And they were pretty quick with it. Twice I went to get a drink at the pool bar and came back, and there was the sign.

  4. For heavens sake, do not bring a blow up pool for the pool deck. Can you imagine if every parent brought one. Besides that it's a safety issue. And please do not drop off your little ones in the kids club. You are there to have a vacation with them. I met a couple who every day dropped off their kids all day long. You're there to have a vacation with them. Enjoy them while they are still little, they grow up too fast. At that age, I think Disneyworld would be a much better place for the kids. It is geared more for the little ones. RCCL does do a lot with little ones, but it is still geared to adults.

  5. My wife got sick on a Med. cruise and went to the clinic on ship. Told her she had Norovirus. Confined to her pom and gave her just about everything for free. Called to check on her, but i think it was to make sure she was in her room. When we got home, they sent both of us voucher for 988 dollars apiece. Problem was, after my wife laid on the bed for 3 hours, she got up and was fine. So I don't think it was Norovirus. Norovirus feels like you want to die. I think she got a little motion sickness on a bus ride up Amalfi Drive. The point is, if you are sick, once you go to the onboard clinic, they will confine you to your room for the duration as a safety precaution for them.
