Thanks for writing this review. We are considering both cruise lines for future cruises. I always enjoy reading the pros, cons and comparisons!

Thanks for writing this review. We are looking to try a cruise outside of Disney. My top 3 choices are Princess, Celebrity and RCI. Reviews like this definitely help in making a decision as to which might be the best fit for us.

I know this TR is about a year old now, but I just ran across it. Fun writing and great photos. Thanks for sharing! :)

Good idea to post this thread, OP! I've only cruised Disney so far. I hope to read even more reasons to give RCI a try.

Fun TR and beautiful photos. Thank you for taking the time to share this!

OP - I'm glad you asked this. My daughter also needs GF and dairy free, so I'm also curious to know what her dining options would be.

Favorite place for breakfast is Johnny Rockets. Breakfast is no extra charge there on Oasis and Allure.
Thanks for this tip. I am seriously considering a cruise on the Oasis. Trying to learn all that I can before making the big decision!

We learned a little secret on our last cruise--ask for something special. You want one entree but the side from a different entree. This means that the food is freshly plated for you and has not been sitting under warming lights for however long. It took most of our first leg of a B2B to get this figured out' date=' but we were tired of cold food that didn't taste good.[/quote']
This may vary with servers. I asked for a small steak on our last cruise. I had already ordered a seafood plate and just wanted a small steak to go along with it. Our Server said "Sorry - everything is pre-plated and you have to take the whole plate including sides." He said to just eat what I wanted and leave the rest - but I don't like wasting food. :(

Very enjoyable TR.....thank you!

We had a Boardwalk balcony and, while the experience of people watching on the Boardwalk and watching the fountain shows was nice, we prefer ocean view.
BW Balcony was like having a balcony on a busy city street. Lots to watch but a fair amount of noise - announcements from the sports court, the whiz of the zip line, line dances by the Johnny Rockets crew and the ding of the bell from the carousel - repeatedly.
It was an experience but once in a lifetime will suffice for me!

Thanks for posting these photos. We are considering our first cruise on the Oasis and I was wondering how the cabins would be in an aft location!

We wore water shoes at Serenity Bay and were glad to have them. The beach can be a bit rough, as noted in previous posts.

Three Disney cruises, adults only in our group, and we've had a good time on each of them!

I appreciated reading your thorough review. Unfortunately, I also think Disney is losing some of its luster. We've had three very nice Disney cruises, but their prices and other changes are causing me to check out other cruise lines for our next cruise.

For us, it was a hoot being outside on deck 4 on the Magic and having Goofy come walking along the deck and then plop down in one of the loungers!
And on a different cruise, being outside on deck 4 again when Timon came along and started playing shuffleboard.
On the Alaska cruise, having Chip and Dale come walking up to us on deck 10.
One of the cutest was Alice just wandering around on deck 4. Barely anyone was around. We spent a few minutes with her and then she wandered off and ended up in front of a picture on the wall. She stood there for a long while admiring it!

Thanks for asking this question - I was wondering the same thing. I am new to RCI and emailed them earlier this week with a question. Still waiting for a response.

Looking forward to your TR. I am starting to seriously consider a cruise on the Oasis! I'll enjoy reading your TR and seeing photos!

Thank you for the wonderful review and beautiful photos. We've only cruised Disney to date but we are considering RCCL. Your review is very helpful in deciding to give RCCL a try.

Our first cruise was the Disney Wonder to Alaska in 2012. We got hooked big time and have already taken two additional cruises since then! Thinking about trying HAL for a cruise in the near future.

I'm a dork then! I wear a lanyard with a pouch to hold my card. Beats having it fall out of a pocket.
