  1. We love the Miracle. We'll be taking our third Mexican Riviera cruise on her in September, this time including Mazatlan. We're excited about the dry dock (even though we are sad that she isn't getting Guys or Blue Iguana) but we would book on her again even without upgrades. We love the layout, the crew, the food...everything. We cruise without children and the Serenity Deck on the Miracle is my favorite of the ships I've been on, we rarely leave this area :).

  2. Hi. Are you saying you will hit 25 during the cruise? Just trying to clarify as I have the same scenario. I am at 23 so when I check in for my upcoming cruise will I be issued gold cards at that time?

    Thanks!

Yes, you will get your hold cards at check in Sandy. Have fun :-)!

  3. Hey all.

I will be going on my fourth carnival cruise soon and I will have 25 points. I was wondering if the gold status goes into effect during this cruise or on the next one?

    Thanks

You will have it from the beginning of your cruise. Have fun :)!

  4. If it says Pack & Play, it's a casino offer. If it says Pack & Go, it's not :).

I just took my 8th Carnival cruise and got my first Pack & Play offer, I opted for a 3 day to Ensenada (out of Long Beach) for $25/pp with $25 OBC. Still had to pay port fees & grats but it's a cheap little cruise. Any cruise is better than no cruise :).

  5. Has anyone here recently taken a taxi from LAX to LB port? If so, do you remember the cost? I have used PrimeTime Shuttle in the past and they are okay, but our flight doesn't come in to LAX until 11:15 and I'm thinking a taxi would be quicker. I'm sure I'm okay either way, just trying to decide if I should book/reserve the shuttle or just pay a little more for the taxi. For two of us, it's only $30 each way for the shuttle.

    What do you think?

  6. I do think that the changes were pretty recent.

It was a short lived trial for the $37.50/day. We paid that rate on our October cruise and I seem to remember that it went to the flat rate of $49.95 + gratuity not long after. The previous year we paid the higher rate and for us, it's still worth it at the higher price :).

  7. Value kinda depends on your plans. We are going on a 3 Day Mexico cruise aboard the Carnival Inspiration this upcoming weekend. The Iteneray includes Ensenada Mexico and a Sea Day. I have been to Ensenada and my wife is afraid to get off the boat. So both the sea day and Mexico day will be spent on the boat. The way we see it, a few Mimosa's at breakfast and beers by the pool can add up quickly. I can drink a beer an hour for 8-9 hours on the boat without even getting a buzz. Especially with the sun and food! A glass of wine or 2 with dinner and a scotch at the night time show, and you have more than covered your cost of the package.

Would you do me a favor? When you buy Cheers on board, will you ask if you could have waited until the second day on the 3 day cruise? I'm planning to do the 3-day Imagination in April and will drink my wine the first day and hoped to buy Cheers for the remainder. I'm just wondering if it's an option to purchase on day 2. Thank you in advance.

If anyone else has actually bought Cheers on the second day of a 3-day cruise on the Imagination, I'd love to know if you did it after it went to the flat rate across the board regardless of cruise length.

We've had Cheers on three prior 7-day cruises but always bought on the first day so just wondering if this is an option :).

    Thanks everyone!

  8. Ive never ordered a bottle for my room ever. I am interested though. Ordering from Room service might be best as I have a chunk of OBC the rest GC. Do you just call and they deliver? How do you know prices and whats available??

I haven't done it either but I know the prices are the same as if you order it from the Fun Shops and they have at least the same choices. You can always ask for a certain kind, worse thing they can do is say it's not available. Depending on what you order it will probably be $70-90 for a bottle (most are ltr size).

I had a little assistance in securing a bottle of Vanilla Rum (which they no longer sell onboard) for my upcoming cruise on Monday and it is $80. I just have to call room service when I board and they will deliver it to my cabin and charge my S&S account.

  9. 1. can you use Gift Cards to per purchase items for your room?

I did not see anything when I did a fake order but I could of missed it.

    2. is there anyway to check balance of a gift card before you board the ship?

I have some left over E-cards from when I paid off my cruise but forgot to write the value.

I attempted to use an eGift card from to buy a bottle of alcohol from the Fun Shops but it doesn't have anywhere for gift cards :(. I'm assuming it is because they also sell them? Anyway, I'm just going to buy the bottle from room service when I get onboard so it is charged to my S&S which is funded by my gift cards :).

  10. We sailed to Glacier Bay on Holland America last June and the glacier views were IMPRESSIVE and dramatic. We pulled up right up to several glaciers, including Margerie Glacier (this glacier is the size of Connecticut!) and just watched as huge pieces of glacier calved into the ocean, just a few hundred feet away, along with the accompanying crashing sounds. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of our Alaska cruise. And the best part? No extra money spent on expensive shore excursions, just to get close to the glaciers!

We sailed Norwegian into Glacier Bay and totally agree, it was amazing! Watching & listening as the glacier calved was my favorite part of the cruise and we were so close!

  11. When I emailed the casino department asking what my hubby would get, here was the response:

    2) It looks like I will be eligible for $300 in casino cash. Will my husband receive any casino cash with this promo? The Premier Cruise offer cash is only for you. He will however receive an On Us Card as part of your offer while playing.

    3) What does this offer include? Do you have an electronic copy of what we can expect? I know we have a long time before sailing but we are just excited. This offer includes; Special boarding and embarkation privileges, Welcome Aboard Cocktail party, Complimentary drinks in casino while playing for you and your guest, Commemorative Carnival Players Club gift, and Premier-only event and tournaments on board with a change to win a free cruise!

  12. Just spoke to my PVP about this yesterday since I got the offer and my husband did not. In the past we always "both" got the offer. She said this set was a one to a family deal. He would be able to get in on priority boarding, and we are platinum so that does not matter. He would be able to attend the cocktail party and that was about it. No casino cash or drinks card. No entries into raffles or tournaments. We declined.:(

Sorry, yes he did get the Priority Boarding and the Cocktail party. But I think your PVP was wrong about the Drink card. There were a ton of drawings, you had to be present to win. Of course the ONE time I didn't make it, I was drawn. My hubby won $50 cash & a hat in a drawing. It was really a lot of fun. None of the Premier Cruises work for us this time though :(.

I'd definitely ask the casino department specific questions about the offer and not your PVP. I have an awesome PVP but I still email the casino department directly with any related questions.

  13. I just book my first premier thru the casino and I am wondering if my companion gets any of the things I get for booking it. thanks for any info

My husband received the Dinks "On Us" card and was included in the drawings. He didn't get the cash or the goodies in the cabin except those I shared with him ;).

  14. On our Breeze cruise in May I brought 4 bottles of wine. I believe it's actually 2 allowed per person per cabin. My husband doesn't drink wine so I had 4 bottles to myself!!! Also, I packed the wine opener in the check in luggage. Had no problems at all!!!

You were one of the lucky ones. It's limited to one bottle per person (adult) not cabin. I'd love to take a couple bottles of my cheap wine LOL.

  15. Ok. I definitely will. From what I've been reading I should print out docs for verification. I called and used the guy we booked through before. He's never screwed us but he last thing I want is to get on the ship and be like no $700 casino cash and no free drinks

It has happened to me unfortunately on a couple of occasions :(.

We were on one of the Premier Cruises in October and they didn't have us listed and asked us to leave the "private party" at the beginning of the cruise as it was for Premier guests only. Luckily I had all of our mailings, emails and documents to prove it. It took 2 hours out of my vacation (and a bit of frustration on my side) but it all got fixed and the rest of the cruise was awesome! They do have a great casino staff but things happen, just cover your bases :).

    Have fun!

  16. I just emailed casino@carnival.com and got my written confirmation that the Drinks On Us card would be available the first night of my next cruise. If you get an email confirmation, I suggest printing it and taking it with you. I've had to prove my comps on a few occasions as I don't show on their list when I get there.

Oops, sorry I read the OP's message wrong. I wish there was a way to get free drinks on the cruise LOL. Buy the Cheers package on the first day and just pretend like their "free" all week :D.

  17. Already have free drinks in the casino. Just want to see what I need for it on the cruise.

  18. Would someone mind listing any summer sailings they may have for Premier? I just got off NCL Epic and checked my CCL account, and have the offer (PC9) but can't get the cruises to load - no matter what browser/computer I use! I won't be home until Friday (spending a few days in FLL) and can't check my mail till then for a flyer. Thanks so much!

I'm having the same issue with the cruises not showing (it just freezes), but I was able to pull it up on my phone and if I remember correctly, the Legend going to Alaska in May was the latest. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

  19. We were in the last two day on the Imagination. No cruises booked on her in the future. Am going on the Inspiration in two weeks.

Which sailing? Some girlfriends and I are on the 1/12/15 sailing. The roll call is very inactive to say the least :).
