Are we talking ship?I'll be on the Conquest in December. I'd be happy to look for one for you. Do you have a picture of one from another ship so I know what I am looking for?
It's about 12 inches long, and it's... Well, it's the Conquest! They run somewhere between $35 and $50. I'll need to get you some money. Do you live in the DFW area (the community not the airport)? I could meet you at a Starbucks. Otherwise, there's always good old reliable USPS.
And thank you in advance. I really appreciate it.

Are we talking ship?
yeah. The ship figurines that are about 12 inches long.

When we went from an Inside Cabin to a Promenade Window Cabin, we had to relinquish our $100 OBC. I felt the benefit from the bigger cabin and the window outweighed anything I might have done with the $100. Plus, I can always bring more money. I can't "bring more cabin."

Do you also wipe down the pepper grinder?
funny

We have never had a problem: One cruise I got sick from too much rich food, and the crew had the room completely spotless before I returned from the infirmary. However, it's your vacation: You need to do what makes you most comfortable.

Make my way to a lifeboat. But first, go through Windjammer with a large cooler... I am still on a cruise, after all. The zombies aren't gonna eat it.

I wonder how many folks will get that....First they came for the chocolates on the pillows, but I said nothing because I don't need pillow chocolates.
Then they came for the always-filled ice buckets, but I said nothing because I have no need for ice at all times.
Then they came for the pepper grinders, but now I am considering going to another cruise line, because I like fresh ground black pepper on my food!! :D
(I've never seen a pepper grinder on the tables in any dining venue any RCI ship I've been on).
Just stay away from my towel animals, ok?

I didn't get it. Spill. I mean, tell the story, not spill the pepper.

Chef's Table, Chop's Grille, exploring a new ship..... AND NOT COOKING OR CLEANING OR WORKING FOR SEVEN DAYS!
-
My guess is yes, since it's also a mixer...

I've looked at a few cruise compasses, and the showtimes do shift slightly from cruise to cruise. We are sailing in December, and set our 8 pm dining times based on a guess of a 6:30 showtime. Your mileage may vary. Er... Your knots may vary.....

... You may just have to go on another cruise! :-)

I am trying to get one of those Carnival Conquest figurines to commemorate my wife and I's trip back in 2010 and 2012 on that venerable ship. Apparently, they are hard to find! I am looking for someone who lives in the area who is going on the conquest and might be willing to pick up a figurine for me.
Thanks in advance! You'll love the ship!

Upgraded from an Inside Cabin to a Promenade View Cabin for a 12/26/16 Liberty cruise. No charge for the upgrade. Very happy with the outcome.

I find that the dress up standards are a bit lower in the East Coast ports that many people can drive to. In line at check in, the local team sport shirts are worn by many people already . The demographics are totally different it seems. More families take cruises there, as airfare is not an issue and tend to be more informal as the kids don't dress up often. Just much younger cruisers in general who don't want to dress up on vacation.
With Royal, if I can't beat them, I join them.
That's true. We have had Carnival and RC suggest that flying to a port like San Juan for embarcation will "improve" the formality of the other guests because of the additional cost and commitment of the airfare.

Great stuff here, thanks!
We are very excited about the cruise. We have already booked our specialty restaurants, and for the foodies out there I recommend:
Chef's Table (well worth the price)
Champagne Brunch and Galley Tour -- This is not publicized but takes place on the last sea day and costs $35 per person.

Anyone have an NCL Pearl pin or other Pearl memorabilia they'd be willing to part with? My husband and I took our first cruise on the pearl on our honeymoon and I'd love to give him something from the Pearl for our upcoming 5th anniversary!
We are cruising on the Pearl December 2017. If you are still looking then, let me know.

If anyone has a Celebrity Mercury they would be willing to part with I would like to give it a new home.
Of course that was the first ship I was on and like everyone else didnt start collecting until 2nd cruise.
I have a Celebrity Solstice I could trade. No Mercury, though.

I have been placing them on our breakfast bar, one every few days, as we count down to our 12/26/16 Liberty sailing. My wife loves it, but she did point out we haven't been on any of the ships that have "sailed" in to our "breakfast bar port" so far! I enjoy the collection even if I haven't sailed on the ships yet! Who knows? Maybe i can trade for the ones I have been on?

I am sailing Liberty 12/26/16. Looking forward to it. But I am MOST interested in how you made your signature. The graphics are very cool.

This is great stuff! We are cruising in December on the Liberty, and have specialty dining and chef's table already planned. This really helps us "guess" at the showtimes to work around.:)
Do you live in DFW and are you cruising soon on Carnival Conquest?
