  1. Stugeron is wonderful. I have suffered from motion sickness all my life - cars being the worst - and was really concerned that, having persuaded my husband that I really wanted to cruise for our 40th wedding anniversary, I would spend the entire holiday being ill. I took one Stugeron for the car journey to Southampton then another on the first cruise morning and was absolutely fine. Only repeated the dose if the Captain intimated that there would be choppy seas coming up. Absolutely no sickness although I believe some passengers were poorly. I took another for the car journey home. I have taken various tablets over the years but Stugeron are the only ones that did not make me sleepy. Have to say sleepy is preferable to sickness!

  2. We have prebooked the Secret Itineraries/Doge's Palace trip on line on the advice of friends. Unless you speak fluent Italian, make sure you book the English language tour!! Quite simple to do on line and a good price. We have left the rest of the day free to wander. We are assured you can't get lost in Venice so fingers crossed!

  3. Our first ever cruise was on Independence of the Seas and we had a great time. Having nothing to compare it with we thought it was fantastic. Have been on several cruises since then with other lines and enjoyed them all. On Britannia next month which will be the biggest ship we have been on since Independence so it will be interesting to see how they compare. We would certainly go back with RCI if the price and the cruise were what we wanted. Having been on two smaller ships (Black Watch and Oceana), each type of ship has its own pros and cons and in the end it is personal choice.

Have a great time - we did!

  4. We did our first cruise 5 years ago on Independence of the Seas. My husband too was not sure he would enjoy it but he loved it and we have been on several since then. The smaller ships were Black Watch (Fred Olsen) and Oceana (another P & O). We will be on Britannia next month. We had no problems on any of the cruises finding sunbeds, seats in bars or theatres, and with freedom dining sometimes joined bigger tables and sometimes were happy to wait for a table for 2. Not sure sunbeds will be an issue in April! After the first cruise, we were completely hooked! Have a great time.

PS Seem to be quite a few Hearts supporters on the ship!!!
