Thank you for these videos-has wetted my appetite for August 14th 2 weeks onboard!

I uploaded a PDF of the NHS app vaccination record the 1st time, when this was rejected I tried all different things. Rejected 4 times in total. Finally took a photo of the little card we were given and they accepted it! My IT skills are not at amateur level and I found it very frustrating to say the least.
I was at the stage of just taking the documents with me to check in as I know they will check them again. Anyway, all done now for the 14th August-just the dreaded covid test to go

We're on Jewel this coming Saturday for our 9th RC cruise. Have never had a cabin in that state and would certainly not accept one like that either

Where do you get your bus number? Do you collect your baggage or does it go straight to the ship? Thanks in advance.
You will see RC reps in the arrivals hall-check in with them and they'll give you a bus number
Your luggage will be taken from you after you have collected it from the carousel, and you'll see it next outside your cabin

We’re flying on 25 September from Birmingham, and I’m getting rather concerned that we have had no details of flights or transfers at all. We fully checked in some time ago and have a set sail pass, but no other documents are currently available??
I sent another email to my travel agent last night to try and get RCL to release our documentation.
From experience of RC fly cruises, and from reading FB posts, this isn't unusual.
All you need to check in at the airport is your passport, Cyprus flight pass and your vaccination details. Flight times should be on your invoice
The only issue is that Birmingham flights have been cancelled and moved to Gatwick/Manchester/Heathrow in previous weeks, with RC letting you know a few days before. So may still be worth getting your TA to confirm the Bham flight for you
We are booked on the last cruise 23rd October, and the Birmingham flight is full as it's half term

We sail on Jewel 23rd October. The sailing is showing in the app but still says "working on the fun"

Such a relief-we are booked on Jewel for October and would have been unable to buy insurance without the UK Gov advice changing

And yes-diet always starts tomorrow....

Someone on my FB group has found that Get Cover will insure you for EU cruises. I emailed them and they confirmed this-I will still ring to confirm though
Quote below from the reply I received:
Hi,If you are purchasing direct through the GetCover.com website then we can cover single trip cruises to European destinations. We cannot cover worldwide destinations if there is travel advice against any of the countries that have ports of call on the cruise. Please be aware there would be no cover for either scenario if purchasing a GetCover policy through a comparison site. Please visit www.getcover.com for more information. -
If you are in the UK and going on an international cruise, you have the added problem of not being able to get travel insurance. The FCDO currently advise against all international cruising, and this hasn't changed since April. Insurance companies will not insure you against that advice.
I am booked on Jewel out of Cyprus, and we are all in the same situation
The industry seem to think this advice will be updated shortly-we can live in hope!

From what I have read from guests on board, masks have to be worn indoors unless eating and drinking. Outside in the pool area masks are not required. All guests over 18 are vaccinated on Jewel currently

Good news for UK travellers
Fingers crossed for the advice to change soon

Let's hope that the FCDO advice against international cruises for UK guests is changed soon-otherwise it's impossible to buy cruise insurance. Still remaining confident for October!
-
I'm still confident that the 23rd October cruise will be on- it's the last one of the season from Cyprus!
-
October 23rd on Jewel from Cyprus-the last cruise of the season

Last summer on Vision it was 1 punch for a small, 2 for a medium and 3 for a large.

I have loved reading your posts. I have a question, what time did you disembark on the last day? What time do you think is the earliest flight you can book from Barcelona? Thank you again for taking time from your vacation to do this!
Last year on our Vision cruise we were 1st off the ship and used RC transfer back to Barcelona airport. We were at the airport at 7.30am for our 10.35am flight.

Corsica is a beautiful port. When we went to Ajaccio there were land trains that took you on a tour along the coast. There were 2 itineraries, we chose the longer one and we were glad we did. Scenery is stunning and well worth the cost

Last year there was a White Night party on the pool deck

I think you are going to love this cruise! We did 12 nights on Vision on the Venice itinerary last summer and loved it so much we are going again 9 weeks today. Out of the 8 Med cruises we have done this was the best. Vision was the smallest ship we have cruised on but we loved the lack of crowds, queues and less children onboard too.(our days of family holidays are over!). Vision doesn't have the bells and whistles of the big ships but for a port intensive Med cruise it was superb.
I'll be reading with interest-have an awesome holiday!

A few years ago I noticed that our Navigator cruise that we had booked through a UK TA had dropped significantly. Balcony cabins were only a few ££ more than what we had paid for an inside.
I rang RC and said I might as well cancel and book with P&O!! They said they would see what they could do for me-the next day we had a call from our TA who said that our cabin had been changed from an inside to a balcony with no extra cost. We had booked with another couple and they had also been upgraded!
This was around 6 years ago-I think we were lucky and we haven't had anything like this happen since

We were on this cruise too, our 1st on celebrity after 10 on RC. This gave us Elite status so we made the most of free drinks between 5 and 7
We booked a guarantee balcony and was allocated deck 6 with a partial obstruction. We were then successful with our minimum bid up for a concierge cabin on deck 10. Room steward service was fantastic and we couldn't fault him
We also booked late but managed to get late sitting in the MDR. Impossible to get a table for 2-we were told there were 150 requests that could not be fulfilled. We met some lovely people on our table and in fact rather enjoyed out 1st experience of shared table dining
I agree with your negatives-the combination of cold weather cruising and a full ship made it difficult to find seats anywhere. We entered and left the buffet numerous times after finding it impossible to find a table. We thought the buffet food was a higher standard than RC but the MDR food no better. Portion sizes were small and we were all ordering sides!
Norway ports of call were great apart from Haugesund which was disappointing. The Loen skylift at Olden was outstanding and not to be missed
We are back onboard on 24th July for the Scandinavia itinerary(we have to sail in school holidays as my job is term time only). Hoping for more time to be able to use the balcony!
