I agree with others that Florence is good place to see and we have been there several times.

I would recommend Pisa if it's coupled with Lucca. Both of these are smaller areas that you can spend time in each of these 2 towns. Following is a link from Rick Steves which we used for one of our previous Italy trips:

Thanks for the fast response. The price is $159 for the 10 day cruise. Considering that it will be cool weather in December in the Mediterranean with 3 or 4 day at sea, we will purchase.

We are booked in a "regular" balcony for a 10 day European cruise in December 2015.( less than 2 months)

Does the ship sell passes to the spa for non-spa guests? If so, does anyone have an approximate price.
