  1. I booked the Carnival Triumph solo inside guarantee 10-night eastern Caribbean 2/20/15 yesterday for $444. It sails from San Juan to Galveston so I did need a flight on each end, but still felt it worthwhile as rooms without supplement are so hard to find (and I had points for one flight).

I booked the b2b for $650 plus taxes, but upgraded to a balcony for $700 extra. Awesome deal!

  2. There are several companies that do a tour from the dock in Phillipsburg to Anguilla....prolly your best bet

Probably will be the best option considering the time in port. What are the names of these companies? Will we get back

to port in time for a 5:00pm departure?

  3. Hi Cruise Critic - has anyone ferried over to Anguilla while on a cruise ship stop in St. Maarten? Just curious if it can be done, would I get in trouble with the ferry schedule, where to hang out in Anguilla, etc. Any insights would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Mike

I am wondering the same. Please report back if you do this. I would like to try this during my stop in St . Maarten next month.

  4. I have done the drift snorkel twice and both times the water was not choppy. There is a water taxi available at Karel's Beach Bar which is a short walk from the cruise pier. The round trip cost is $20 and the boat will drop you off in the water down the beach so you won't have to walk. This is an awesome snorkel location!!

  5. I'm not sure what your time frame is, but the solo guaranteed inside cabin rates on the Carnival Triumph for the Feb. 9 sailing from Galveston and the Feb. 20th sailing from San Juan are in the $600 range. They are 11 and 10 day cruises.

This is a good one to watch. I was able to catch a sale and booked both cruises (21 days) for $650 plus taxes & port fees.

  6. We just did this. 4 nights and 3 full days was plenty of time to visit the temples. We stayed at the khmer Mansion Boutique Hotel. Very convenient location near Pub Street and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend and they will help arrange your tours. $15 a day for a Tuk Tuk driver.
