  1. I will be cruising with my family in a few days and some of them want to use their cell phones for taking pictures and for reading. Is this possible or will it cost them a arm and leg. How do they go about this, they have Verizon phones. Does Carnival give you some kind of deal. Thank you for the information.

  2. Hi

Without having first hand knowledge, I can only guess.

For cash accounts, as I understand, they will freeze spending and require further deposits before they allow any additional onboard purchases. So possible overspending would be quite limited.

So, if you are asking what they might do if someone were to refuse to pay whatever small amount owed, consider, they have you captive. You can't leave the ship if they don't let you. They can confine someone and turn them over to authorities at the next port. (which might not be home) It wouldn't be any different than if you broke any serious rules. I think most people will somehow make arrangements to clear their account. It really can't be compared to a dine and dash scenario. I wouldn't want to try and find out.

Thank you for you answer,I was just curious.I don't plan on that happening.

  3. I was just wondering how Carnival would handle it if you accidentally spent more than you meant to on your S&S card and didn't have anymore money with you to put on the card.I know this should never happen since you would need money to get back home, on but I know the person that went with me on my first cruise spent all her money on the cruise and had no money left. What if she had over spent.? I was just wondering how they would handle this? Has this happened to anyone?

  4. I will be on a cruise to Saint Maarten in May of this year and I was wondering if there is a Butterfly Farm there. If there is one,has anyone been to it recently and is it worth going to. I walk with a cane and I am wondering also is it easy to walk through.Do they have places to sit down and rest? How far is it from where the ship docks? Thank you for any information.

  5. Can someone please give me some hotel choices to stay at in Orlando the night before my cruise. I need budget friendly. I want it to be clean, it doesn't have to be fancy. We just need a clean place to sleep. I have been searching the internet but everything I find is costly. Thank you in advance for your help.

  6. I am wondering if you can use the small suitcase that comes with a 3 piece luggage set as your carry on. It would be on rollers and that would make it so much easier for me to handle. If this is okay, would I be able to put a bottle of wine in it. Thank you in advance for your answers.

  7. If the new rate has a regular deposit, you have to pay up the full deposit in order to get the price drop.

We'd booked Early Saver with $50pp deposit.

I saw a price drop, but now the deposits had to be $250pp.

I had to pay up the extra $200pp deposit to get the price drop.

Paid money to save money, but ended up with a lower price overall.

It was kind of in the 'fine print' of the price drop, if I remember correctly I could've missed it if I hadn't heard and expected this would happen.

    Thank you for your answer.

  8. Depends

Basically you’re looking at a whole new booking and cruise.

If the new booking that you are looking at has the reduced deposit, then you get the reduced cost.

If the new booking requires a full deposit, then you would need to pay the full deposit to receive the cost reduction.

    Thankyou

  9. We were able to take coconut water in the small cartons onboard. The ones we get come in a 4 pack. You're allowed up to a 12 pack per person...so you could bring 3-four packs per person. I believe you can also purchase the coconut water onboard. We also bring magnesium/potassium supplement capsules as part of meds/supplements. Hope this helps! Have a wonderful cruise!

Thank you for the information, I bought some magnesium and potassium pills earlier today. I hope they work for me.

  10. I use Hyland's Leg Cramp tablets. It's homeopathic (no drugs) and works wonders. Think both Walmart & Walgreen's carries the product. Also, as mentioned by another CC member, tonic water contains quinine and that also relieves Charley horses. I honestly never heard of coconut water for leg cramps.

I don't understand why the coconut water works for me but it will stop the leg cramps instantly. I will look for the Hyland's Leg Cramp tablets. Thank you for the information.

  11. I drink coconut water to get rid of the muscle cramps I get in my legs. The kind I drink comes in cartons (like a milk carton) I don't think they will let me bring this on the ship. Can anyone tell me what they use for leg cramps. Thank you.
