We took the bus to Platy Gialos, very nice sandy beach with chairs, umbrellas, restaurants and restrooms. The bus is leaving at the main bus station but I cannot remember the travel time to the beach. It was not very long.
Another nice beach is Ornos Beach, but we havent been there last time.

Castro , we will be in St Lucia April 11. Can you reserve 2 loungers for us?
-
We just returned from a stop in St. Maarten. Orient beach still looks like a war zone. It has no power, all the destroyed buildings are still in heaps on the beach, debris everywhere. Not the beautiful beach I remember. The whole island is still a mess and will be for months to come. It was sad to see. The cruise lines need to be more transparent about what you will getting into. I know they need the tourist money, but they really need huge amounts of disaster relief funds.
Very sad to hear. We have been there a year ago and it was the most beautiful beach on our 14 days cruise....... we are going there in April again.

Thank you.....but: where is the connecting door, when there is also a sofabed in the room?
-
Hi,
does anyone has pictures from the inside? RCCL told me that there is a sofabed AND a pullman bed, but also a connecting door and cannot imagine how it looks like.
Thanks!

I was in an E3 on the Brilliance this summer - 7066 - if that's any help. I can't really say whether I found the cabin and balcony size relatively larger or smaller than any other RCI cabin. It was fine. My only objection to the size of the cabin and balcony was the size of the bathroom - especially the shower.
Do you have any photos from the inside?

I believe you should get an email yes. Might want to call them to confirm.
Hi, Drake,
untill now we didnt get any response from Sandcastle Beach. I emailed them twice :(
A call from Germany to St Croix seems to expensive :)

Hi,
I made a reservation for Sandcastle for a day pass. Do I get any reconfirmation back from them?

Hi,
can someone tell me, how much is it to take a snorkel tour to the turtels direct from a beach, probably Paynes Beach. Dont Need an exact amount, just want to figure out what could the price be about.
-
Get it...:-)....thank you

We took a $5 cab ride to the Boatyard (same fare gets you to Harbor lights or many other beach clubs lined up); a vendor will offer you a snorkel/turtle tour for $20 - snorkel over a wreck (great), and at another stop swim with the turtles (even better), along with a cup of rum punch that is more rum than punch. Most of the snorkel tour boats charge more and pull into the same area.
Best snorkeling of our recent cruise was Coki Beach on St. Thomas. Good luck!
Is Boatyard the name of the beach? And how many people will be on the snorkel tour? Are there loungers to rent at the beach? Would be appreciate for your help :)

My name is Fee and I am living with my family on St. Maarten / St. Martin. We moved here from Germany and enjoy life on a caribbean island. If you are on the island just let me know - we offer island trips and have a lot of tipps for you.
Hi, Fee,
we are from Germany, too and will visit St. Maarten next year in April. What Kind of tour can you offer and do you have a Homepage?

Thank you ,Paul :)

My family did the TreeTop Adventure two years ago and had a great time! We booked directly on their website which was less expensive than booking through a tour. they provided transportion, met us at the port in an air conditioned van with an enjoyable tour guide. This was our first time zip lining, it was fun and easy to learn. Another family with us have ziplined at many islands including Hawaii and said that this was their favorite course.
Did you book direct at Rainforest Adventure? I cannot see, if they arrange the transportaion, too....we are arriving with the Jewel otS and RCI only offers the Aerial Tram and NOT Aerial Tram AND Ziplining
Thanks, Summer
-
Hi, reedprincess,
I just want to ask, if I have to book the tour for the Aerial Tram (and prob the Zipline) at the cruise ship or which tour operator can we take ?
Thanks,
Summer

Hi,
which one is the closest beach to port? How much is the fare to go there by taxi and how long is the ride?
Thanks,
Summer
-
Yes. It is over the head of the bed.

Thank you.....arrgghhhh, I hate this....:(

Thank you all for you reply.
We had on the Serenade a cabin with a sofa bed AND a pullman bed over the sofa, coming down from the ceiling. The sofa was much bigger then on the pic you showed me, and the whole cabin was more spacy...
But, well, then we dont have to think about changing the cabin if all E1 cabins are like this. So we can enjoy the balcony , I hope..:D:cool:

Hi,
we just grab the cabin 7388 Adventure otS, but I not sure, if I want the pullman bed right over my head.
Does anybody can tell me, if the other E1 cabins all have the pullman bed over our beds or over the sofa?
Thanks for help,
Summer

Hi,
just jumped in here. I have a cabin question: we are thinking about cabin 6502 or 6202.....it seems there is the Imperial Lounge under these cabins. Are they very noisy?
Thanks for help,

Good morning from Germany,
we made tours with them in 2011 and 2012, as they have german speeking tourguides, and it was a very interesting private tour with them. We told them, what we want to see and they made a tour like we wanted to have( sorry, if my english is not correct).
We did a tour twice with Andrea.
Dont hesitate to ask, if you have more questions.

Thank you for your advices.
We are cruisin with the Serenade otS, I would say it is a smaller ship, but untill now I am not sure, where we will dock in Stockholm.
We normally like the guided tours with someone, who can tell us a lot about land and people and history. It is like ljandgb said.
Have a nice day,
Ute
