That itinerary runs over the English Halloween school holiday (schools break on 25th Oct, back on 4th Nov) so I'd expect kids.
I was thinking that most families wouldn't take their kids out for a full xtra week of school. Hoping so 🙂 Thought they'd likely take a 7 day cruise instead. Again, hoping...

We are new to MSC and have booked a 14 night Canary Islands in late October 2024. We've never been on a ship this big. Has anyone done this itinerary around this time of year on the Virtuosa? Should we expect a full ship at this time of the year? Lots of kids? Thanks for your insight 🙂
PS we booked Aurea for this and then YC for the following week 11/8/2024 on the Preziosa Northen Eu itinerary. Also interested in your experience with that trip.

Mid 2017 we were seeing articles online that China was going to expand the 144 hours visa free to the Tianjin/Beijing area in Dec 2017. All I saw was a savings of at least $450 dollars that could be shifted to more important things such as tours.
It was cut and dry that we qualified, we were arriving by cruise ship from Korea and after three days in Beijing flying home to the USA. Our concern was having Royal Caribbean not recognizing it and refusing to let us board in Singapore because the exemption was so new to that area. I ended up emailed the CEO's office where I got an email acknowledging from Royal we could use the 144 hour exemption. Once we arrived on the ship in April it was apparent that they not only knew of the exemption they had a process in place to handle all the people getting the exemption.
The process was a little slow once we arrived in Tianjin but we were in the parking lot locating our guide by 10 am even though we had to be processed through two separate line to satisfy the Chinese officials. I didn't think that was an unreasonable delay considering the money we saved.
Now that this exemption has been in place for over 10 months I wouldn't hesitate using it again.
I am having an issue getting this same info from rcl - do you happen to still have that email you received from the executive office?
Thanks!

Can we get a VAT refund for taxes on drinks?

On the odyssey there is a 2e obstructed guarantee and an xb ocean view balcony guarantee. Does this mean the the bc will never be obstructed?

Is anyone on the valiant lady currently or recently and can confirm that there are happy hours at some bars with complimentary drinks? Where and when? Will it last thru April? Thank you 🙂

Can you use the bar tab for pairings at Test Kitchen?
-
My booking shows that I have deep blue extras (matched status) BUT there is no indication anywhere in my booking that I have the priority boarding or any specific perks. It's still saying if I buy a bar tab I only get $50 not 100. I tired to chat but they are "swamped" and don't answer. Any guidance? Thanks 🙂

Does anyone know if you can plug in headphones at the gym to watch tv or listen to music?

Do the treadmills on the Dawn have a place to plug in a stereo jack or usb?

We are currently in. TPA awaiting our flight home. We used the Celebrity shuttle. We were given luggage tags based on the time the shuttle departs. The driver has a manifest of who is supposed to be on the shuttle. So if you’re looking for something organized, this works.
Thanks so much for this info 🙂 What time is your flight and what time did you get to the airport? Their flight is 11:40 on Delta

Thanks - I would if it was for me but o know that my parents would feel better if it's more organized. Just not sure that this will be

Has anyone used the cruise transfer to tampa airport recently? It says it departs at 7:30 for the airport. Do they have the people wait in a lounge and all disembark together? Is the luggage all together in the terminal for these people? Or is it already in the bus? Is it realistic to use this service for an 11:45 am flight? Thanks 🙂

Does the corkage fee apply if you open a bottle of wine in your cabin and drink on your balcony?

First Holland cruise. Are nice jeans with a collared shirt acceptable for my husband in the MDR?

Ask if the calls are recorded - and ask them to review. I would escalate this up a chain if you can. Ask for corporate. I just read a nightmare story of people missing the boat with a small flight delay and they lost the entire trip even though they had insurance - only ended up covering $500 bc they didn't bother to catch up with the boat bc they would have missed the first few days anyway. Awful. Also try calling the airline and ask if you can pay a fee to change flight to day prior. Beg them 🙂

I can only suggest reading it again.
As I said, I was hoping to hear some personal experiences 🙂

Then you're not seeing it...this is right there on the link Rich supplied...seems pretty clear...
"All travelers departing from US, Canadian, and European ports are welcome to cruise with us regardless of vaccination status and will no longer be required to provide proof of pre-departure testing, except for specific sailings where vaccination or testing are required by law."
It's those specific sailings that worry me 😂
-
Yes I read all of that - but it doesn't say anything about pre cruise testing - or at least I'm Not seeing it. I did read elsewhere that they do require testing before most sailings so I'm confused. Looking for any recent experiences.

Can anyone confirm that we will not need to test prior to boarding the celebrity constellation Caribbean cruise in January? We will be getting off another ship and would like to avoid packing tests if possible. Thanks!
-
So will we be required to show proof of negative test before embarking on the constellation in January or did that requirement do away on November 9th?

we too were on this cruise and the somewhat rough seas yesterday were caused by a front that we went through off the west coast of fla......we too enjoyed the cruise, food was hit/miss and service was amazing...Shows were good for the most part and the lounge bands, and the rest of the entertainers were outstanding.. I did not follow this thread while we were on the ship, we were too busy having fun....we got offered a free future cruise with celebrity and will look forward to sailing on the "connie" again....life is good
How do I get the same offer?!
Extra fee to pick your own room has gotten ridiculous - time to move on?
