  1. If anyone's looking for a BB cream with fuller coverage without looking cakey, Lioele BB cream is FANTASTIC. It's an Asian BB cream, so it's thicker than the American brands. I have mild eczema, a small bit of adult acne, and some small acne scars, and most tinted moisturizers don't give me enough coverage. Lioele is the first BB cream I've used that I feel comfortable enough to use on it's own. The "Triple the Solution" version is SPF 30. It's definitely coming with me on my next cruise! :)

  2. I'd only get the one nail fixed - they can definitely damage your real nails. But keep in mind that acrylics are much thicker than gel polish, so even if it's shaped the same it would still have a different appearance.

So I guess you have to decide which would bug you more - all nails the same length, but one that's thicker than the rest? Orrrrr having one short nail, haha.

  3. Welcome ClassyGame!

I booked another cruise yesterday. The one I have been planning for over 2 years is coming up in three weeks. I decided I needed to have something to look forward to when it was over (Why is it that time speeds up when you are on a cruise ship?).

You are definitely in the right place for all things cruise-fashionista. Be sure to take pictures (and share with us) of your planning and when you are cruising!

Thank you! And seriously!! Why does it take like 8 years for the cruise to get here, then it's over in about 5 hours?? ;)

CLASSYGAME: Another welcome! Keep reading this thread and you will be a Total Fashionista!! We learn from each other all the time.

We have two cruises booked in early 2014...nothing after that...yet.

The Cruise Room will be a Guest Room the weekend of January 11, so no Starting the Process until after our guests leave:rolleyes:

Thanks! So what you're saying is January 12th is when you're booking another cruise? ;) I love the whole idea of a cruise room! I need one of those!

Welcome to the thread. There are so many nice CCF's here.:) There is a lot of info on the thread everything from packing to how many shoes to take!!

Thank you! And I'll definitely need some shoe help eventually! :)

  4. I checked a ways back in this section, but didn't see anything about Hautelook, so I thought I'd share in case someone hasn't heard of it!

Hautelook is owned by Nordstrom, and it's a site that sells discounted (and I mean often HEAVILY discounted) clothing, cosmetics, etc. They're flash sales, usually lasting only a day or two. For example, there's an Oscar Blandi sale going on right now - 50-75% off!!

I've bought a few makeup items from the site, as they often have some of my favorite brands featured (theBalm, Tarte, Lorac, Stila, etc), and everything I've purchased has been at least 50% off. I've never purchased clothing items, but they always have really nice pieces whenever I check out the site.

There's a website, and there's also an app for your phone. :)

  5. Hey ladies! I've had so much fun reading through this thread and getting ideas! You all seem so nice, and have some great ideas and tips!

I just booked my second cruise today, and even though it's not for almost a year, I'm already getting excited thinking about outfits and what I want to pack. I'm a semi-fashionista, and a makeup collector. I prefer "collector" over "addict". ;)

  6. Ummm...I have lived in SeaTac for over ten years--not far off International Boulevard, as a matter of fact. It's not exactly exactly the center of the Puget Sound universe--most of the popular tourist sights are closer to downtown. And the part of International Boulevard north of Highway 518 can be a little skeevy--but that's not where you'll find most of the chain hotels that tourists are likely to be looking at, anyway. South of Highway 518 are any number of perfectly decent place to stay if you have a late arrival, or an early departure, or you have plans south of Seattle, or you're looking for a bargain. I have put my elderly mother and her sisters in a hotel there, and I would recommend it to anybody else.

"Horrible area"? I suppose it's a matter of opinion, but I don't share it.

Okay, let me rephrase - as someone who works in law enforcement, I don't consider it to be a nice area. The violent crime rate there is double the state average. Property crimes, too. But you're right, it's absolutely a matter of opinion. I've stayed off International Blvd a couple times, and while our hotel stays weren't bad, our vehicle was broken into once.

  7. That's very interesting......can you tell me which cruise, or why they're not allowed?

It's a chartered music cruise (Florida Georgia Line's "This Is How We Cruise"). The cruises the company puts on have a lot of the same rules as you'd find at an arena concert. So no detachable lenses. I could still take my DSLR, but I wouldn't be able to use it during any concerts onboard.

  8. iPhone - Will stay in airplane mode during the whole cruise, but I like to use it to take pictures/video. Also use it as an iPod.

Digital camera - I took a larger point and shoot on the last cruise, but I think I might take my smaller one on the next one. I have a Sony that takes great pictures for being a point and shoot. DSLRs aren't allowed on the cruise I'm going on, so I think I'll leave that at home.

iPad or MacBook Pro - Haven't decided which one I'm taking yet. I use them mainly for entertainment during the trip there, and for loading photos onto during the cruise.

  9. I've never cruised out of Seattle, but I'm a local. I'd suggest get a downtown hotel if you can. There won't be free transportation from the airport, but I'd never want to stay in a hotel off International Blvd by the airport. Horrible area! If you're in a pinch and have to stay in that area, I'd suggest Red Lion. But I'd avoid it if you can.
