Hi All, Is there anyone flying out of Sydney or Adelaide to join Emerald Princess for the Alaska Cruise's on 10 May, 13th or 21st May 2017.
-
Thanks Womble99 I was wondering about the difference between UK & USA Carnival shares.
-
Thank you for your replies.
I think I procrastinated for to long... now its going to cost me :(
-
Hi Everyone,
Please forgive me for not doing a search first. I know the information is out there. But I have just instructed my FP to buy 100 shares in Carnival for me. He will do the homework for me. But I remember reading on here there are two different types of shares?
Can someone brief me on which shares I need? He will go through a broker for me & arrange it all. I suppose I just need a little reassurance I'm getting the correct one's, so I can apply for the cabin credit. I have always wanted to own some of these shares :) and now I'm cruising more, the time is right. I'm Australian based.
Many thanks

Thank you everyone for your imput.
I also like to follow the Webcams David, and yes somedays it takes a while for the correct destination to be uploaded.:p
I use the ship tracking websites also.
What I would like to see on the Princess Website, is an option to show the current itinerary for each ship. Its annoying having to go to other sites to find this information. Maybe I will send them an email with the suggestion.
Cheers :)

Great Idea Deb, Make sure you get the front seat ;)
I just need someone to go with and I'll take some pics of you flying above.
All my friends can't get time off work cause there doing other cruise's during the year.... :(

Hi, I always use 2degree's when I travel to NZ. Did this again last Xmas on Diamond. When u get off the ship in Auckland. Its directly across the road from the ship and up the main street a block, (34 Queen Street) if you purchase the sim card I think it was $5 and a $29 prepaid. It lasted me the 14 days and you can still use any left over when u get back to Ausi.
The shop will put it in and set it up for you ready to use.
Just be careful to turn off the data when not needed.
Here is a link
Enjoy your cruise, the Diamond is a beautiful ship. :)

Hi, Has anyone else noticed the Princess Bridge Cams on different ships showing the 26 August 2015. I have noticed it the last two weeks.
The Island P has been randomly showing a Venice 26th Aug and last week, yest and tonight Sea P is showing 26 Aug 2015 Pago Pago. Can't remember which of the other one's as well.
and its the 11 Oct 2015 today.
So does anyone have any idea as to why this may be happening.

If you go to the Princess website check under the "My Princess" section. Then "My Profile" and finally "My History" This will show the # of Cruise credits, # of days sailed with Princess and then list all of your cruises. This section will show how many cruise credits you earned for each cruise.
Do you have to login first as I can't find the option "My Princess" ?
Might hv to go find my PW

Thank you for the Picture.... I see its now working again :D YAH !!!

Hi All,
Is there anyone onboard Island Princess now that can find out why the Ships Webcam is not working again!!!
I realise it depends on the Satellite, but last cruise they lost it from Istanbul till after Greece. Now the return Journey, same again no webcam from Istanbul.
Maybe there is a live Webcam Link from onshore someone knows of?? and can post a link.
Just curious
Cheers :)

Princess has an weird and discriminatory view that minors cannot have higher status. Even though their cruises are paid for, and when they turn 18 suddenly the status exists!
That may have been the cause, but if so it's offensive and discriminatory treatment to paying, loyal passengers.
Yes for a moment there I was upset, (under my :) I tend not to let these things
spoil what was yet another fantastic Princess Cruise.
-
i don't know the last time elites got a tender ticket, been a few years....they would have to give them to people in suites if not elite
If you are Elite do you have to go to the Lounge First and presumably board with the next group to go down to the Tenders. This is what I did, but we were refused priority boarding cause there were 2A-1C apparently it's only for 2 people, is this correct?
I felt they could, have made allowances due to it being a X-NYC.
Maybe that's why they weren't.

Hey thanks for clearing that up Kiwicruiser, I was one of the many (I'm sure) who was quite confused by your original question!
Steve.
Sorry Steve,
Yes the importance of the Subject Line ahaa. I didn't reply ASAP I'm locked out of posting on CC with desktop, some data base error. Never use iPad but that is letting me in.. Going to email the help section...
Cheers

Is anyone FLYING OUT OF ADELAIDE
to join an Island Princess Cruise
in the next few months????
-
Is there anyone going on Island Princess leaving from Adelaide
August 2015 onwards...... ??? :)
-
The Hotels in Sydney have learned how to use the Cruise Schedule now and they don't give generous discounts any more on the nights before a ship sails. The airlines do the same.
They just programme the dates into their computers.
Drat those darned new fangled machines.:D:D
You have hit the nail on the head Kiwi Kruzer.
The day before and the day of the cruise, the Airlines have increased prices.
Makes the shorter cruises out of reach, if you have to fly in from anywhere in Australia.

I asked the Port of Auckland on Facebook last night about why she was in backwards and this is what they said to me:
"They (Sun Princess) asked us, they needed to lower her starboard lifeboats into the water for maintenance."
Yes, the Sun Princess, Sea Princess and Oosterdam have all missed ports of calls today.
(Sea Princess was meant to be in Fiordland, Oosterdam was meant to be in Port Chalmers. Sea Princess & Oosterdam are now all on there way back to Australia via the Cook Strait).
Apparently all because of the weather/seas, according to a port agent I am in contact with.
Thanks for checking that out Kiwi_cruiser, glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious. :)

Haha I always have a laugh when this happens. I put it down as having had a good night out last night...!!!
I wonder if anyone from Princess can tell us what the ranking/ or position is
of the person who has this task on each ship everyday.. ?
Maybe I should ask on the Princess FBook.... :)
-
I just logged in to post this question as well.
She was back on to the mountain in Tauranga the day before as well.
Maybe they are training someone on the Bridge ? just a thought !!
Still curious to find out why though.....
Also Sun Princess was due in Bay of Islands today Sat 11 April 2015, but seems to have missed this stop, and is heading back to Sydney.
-
David a million thank uuuuuu's
I have been waiting for this day for months, and one phone call from a distressed friend in need, meant I missed the ship arriving.
You captured the moment for me I thank you so much :)))))
I saw Diamond Princess depart at 9pm we gave her a good send off, but was
disappointed the Captain didn't sound the horn :(
It might hv been due to it being late in the evening.
-
Thank you so much.. :) Kiwi Cruiser for the tracking site
-
Diamond Princess arriving late into Adelaide today. Bad weather coming from Hobart has delayed her arrival.
Can anyone give me a LIVE tracking site>????
Cheers :)

Good to hear you had a fantastic cruise. I wish more people would write reviews. It was great reading and don't worry it wasn't to long at all.
I have a question to ask, you said Danilo was your cabin steward, did he wear black glasses by any chance?
I am hoping it is my favourite cabin steward from Dawn,Sun Princess :)
All the best for your future cruising. :)
re meat pies
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers

Why has someone not started a franchise selling pies in the USA..
Years ago when I visited the USA there wasn't anywhere on our travels that sold them :(
Does anyone know why they don't sell them in the USA?
Lets hope you are cruising and can enjoy a meat pie while on board.
