  1. When you say, for example, $30 for a taxi, there are 6 of us so would that cost be per taxi and include all of us? Are the taxis able to accommodate that many people? If we were at Topper's or the bakery, how easy would it be to get a taxi from there? Thanks for your help.
  2. We will be on Wonder of the Seas in a few weeks and have a few places we want to go and I'm wondering if it's possible to do this on our own due to distances and available transportation. We'd like to go to La Sucriere Bakery, Topper's Rhum Tour and Maho Beach. We also want to have a couple hours to shop and maybe eat in Philipsburg. Does anyone know how far it is from the port to any of these places? Would we be better off starting with La Sucriere or Topper's first and then going to Maho Beach to see the planes in the afternoon, since I read that the big planes usually arrive in the afternoon? Our ship is in port that day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Should we take a taxi and if we do, would we be able to get a taxi back to the ship from there easily? What would be the approximate cost of taxis to do this? Thanks for any advice.
  3. Thanks. Do you know if there's a chart anywhere listing drink prices?
  4. We just became Diamond members after our Anthem cruise this past April. On past cruises we've always purchased the Deluxe Drink Package but with the 4 included drinks per day, I don't think we'll need it. My questions is with the Deluxe package, we've ordered certain brands of liquor, such as Grey Goose and particular kinds of tequila. We will be able to do that with the 4 drinks included with Diamond or are top shelf liquors not included?
  5. Does anyone know how far in advance you can book shows on Wonder?
  6. We just got back from a day pass at RIU which is on Cabbage Beach. We really enjoyed it there. The resort is gorgeous with a huge pool and also an infinity pool with a swim up bar. The beach there was beautiful. We booked it through Resort For a Day and it was $129/person and included all food and drinks. There was a DJ playing music at the pool. We got a cab from the port for $25 and the resort called a cab for us to return for the same price.
  7. Do you remember how much the cab ride was from the port to RIU? We are leaving on a cruise Sunday and have a day pass for RIU. We plan to grab a cab right when we get off the ship but I'm trying to find out what the rate should be.
  8. Yes, but how would I know what the rate is supposed to be?
  9. We will be docking in Nassau and have an excursion booked at Hotel RIU Palace on Paradise Island, which is on Cabbage Beach close to Atlantis. I've read on the boards to be careful knowing what the cost of the cab ride should be in advance so as not to be overcharged. How would we know what that is? Are there posted rates at the pier when we get off the ship?
  10. We will be on Anthem this weekend and I'm wondering what size suitcase will fit under the bed. Our big one I think is 29 inches and I'm hoping it will fit.
  11. We'll be on Anthem on April 23. We've booked Spectra but where should we go once we're onboard to make reservations for other shows?
  12. Thanks very much for the explanation, it was really helpful.
  13. How can I access another sailing that isn't mine through the app?
  14. I see the menu for the main dining room on the app for our cruise on Anthem April 23, 2023, but is there a way to see the menu for Coastal Kitchen each day for dinner?
  15. I looked on the app but didn't see anything about this. Can you tell me how to access the free chat feature on the app?
  16. Okay, I talked to a supervisor. He said they Coast Guard inspection is definitely being done on tomorrow's sailing, April 2, and there will not be one on April 23. He said he's not sure why we got this text message but it could possibly be a glitch. So apparently the text message is real, even though I had never gotten one from them before. He thinks they sent a text due to the fact that the Coast Guard inspection is for tomorrow and since the date was so close, they sent a text rather than an email.
  17. I'm on the phone with RCI right now. The agent just checked and told me the Coast Guard inspection is scheduled for the sailings on April 2 and April 23. It says in the message it's an annual inspection so I told her that doesn't make sense. She's transferring me to a supervisor. I'll update when I talke to them.
  18. I just got a text that says it's from Royal Caribbean (I've never gotten a text from them, only emails.) This is what it says: The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct an annual inspection onboard Anthem of the Seas. We may experience some boarding delays, so we ask that you arrive after 1:00 p.m. Please arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. All guests should be checked in and onboard by 2:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you soon! Could this be a joke? My son is going on Anthem tomorrow and he did get an email yesterday stating that the Coast Guard is doing an annual inspection on his sailing and the boarding times were changed. How could it be an annual inspection if it's conducted twice in a 3 week span? There's no way everyone would arrive after 1 p.m. and all guests would be checked in and onboard by 2 p.m. Also, I have never gotten a text from RCI and it doesn't really look official to me. At the bottom it says "everbridge," whatever that means. Did anyone else get this?
