  1. it's not a good think to mention cruise critic to any ccl employee.

I was a part of the meet and greet mentioned above by JPH and let me say he did a wonderful job organizing it all for us. I agree that the service was excellent and I assure you everyone got well more than their $11.44 worth of drinks. The staff just kept them coming. The friendships formed on the few months on our roll call were very rewarding and the meet just enhanced the experience. I did print out the CC door sign though and posted it on my door with no ill effect. (really helps find your room after a few double captains in the casino) Service was terrific. I don't really think the sign was an influence though, my steward Einon was just that good. He found out on the last day of our cruise they were transfering him to Italy to join the Carnival Magic. Good for him! I think most CCL employees know persons from CC are just like anyone else. CC member or not, after 18 cruises with Carnival, it has to be obvious to them that we appreciate the product and they treat us with the same appreciation each time we return. I am happy that that I didn't have to hide my involvement with our CC roll call group and still recieved the same service and great experience I always do. This was the best cruise ever!

  2. I haven't seen a real Texas Hold'em table since we were on our 1st cruise on the Elation back in 2006. Then there was only 1, and after that cruise, all we've ever seen is the electronic table. :( I know they have 3 card poker, which is normally what we play, they have blackjack, and some other tables with different variations, roulette, of course, and a few other games, and lots of slots! Seems to me that with the amount of people that want a true Texas Hold'em table with a real live dealer that they would take the hint, make it happen, and do away with the electronic ones. When are you going on the Miracle, we'll be on her the week of Feb. 23rd..........can't wait! :D

And don't forget Carribean Stud! Electronic or not, "Hold Em" tables always seem to be full. Unlike Vegas its the only game in town. As long as people settle for the electronic tables, I don't see them changing it to live dealers. Why would they?
