  1. Is there a link to this spreadsheet? I'm having trouble location it.
  2. Robby, you are so right about that. Maybe that's why Carnival is know as the "Fun Ship".
  3. A friend just returned from the Mariner. According to him the men's area, off the gym, is still in place. Including the steam room, sauna and showers.
  4. Does anyone know of any ship with a hot tub, located in the men's only areas, where clothing is optional?
  5. Rccl has just announced that both Mariner and Independence OTS will cancel some sailings in early 2023 to extend drydock time. Both of these vessels were among the first to be "amped" (RCCL lingo for their current referb project). At that time "amping" did not affect the fitness and spa facilities. Since then, other "amped" ships, like the Navigator and Freedom, have had the fitness and spa areas relocated. Apparently, to make room for more revenue producing cabins. The relocation included the complete removal of all single sex facilities. I am just guessing, but I suspect the extended dry dock time will include completing the "amping" and removing our beloved facilities. If I'm correct RCCL will only have a few ships left with single sex facilities. Looks like my days are Royal are numbered.
  6. Happy to Report that RCCL's Adventure of the sea's free men's facilities are still in place and we'll maintained
  7. I'll be on her a few weeks after you. Can't wait to read your review. Too bad we're not on board the same week.
  8. I agree. I've never tried Disney, the price always scares me. Plus all I can imagine is thousands of screaming kids everywhere. Am I wrong is it worth the money? Are the kids tolerable?
  9. Agreed. Many ships that do charge are co-ed so you have to wear a suit. Not my idea of a great spa experience. Is the brilliance ots still single sex?
  10. Oh no. It's bad enough that all the new ships have stopped including free steam and sauna. But to hear they are continuing down the fleet, removing the few remaining ones, is downright depressing. And worse, most cruise lines seem to be doing the same thing.
  11. Thanks for the information. I assume you think it's worth the price. Will have to check it out one day.
  12. I'm on Mariner in October. It will be my first time. Would like to read your review when you get back.
  13. There are so many ships listed in this thread. And with so many ships leaving the industry, refurbs, and new ships, it's hard to keep up. Just curious if we can compose a short list of fan favorites. Free or paid, single sex men's areas on currently sailing ships (2022). Favorites should have a great combination of amenities, layout and location. And should have a good balance of traffic. Not so busy that you can't have a conversation but not so quiet that you are alone much of the time. My hope is we can come up with the a few favorites. Top picks, that we can all explore someday. Happy sailing.
  14. Thanks for the information. I've never been on MSC, maybe it's worth checking out. Most of my crusing is with Carnival, Royal and Holland. Love to chat with you directly but the mail feature on here is not working on my account.
  15. Wow thanks for the great in-depth review. Have you been on other NCL ships? How does this compare?
  16. Thank you for the update. That is good news. Were there any protocol changes like distancing, capacity restriction, shorts required in the men's area?
