  1. I have so many pictures, you just may see yourself in them!

I'm really missing my Haven meals and the bar.

And what I wouldn't do right now for the enclosed pool area. Brrr it's cold. And now they are predicting a snowstorm for the weekend. Yikes. I've got my Build-A-Boob surgery at 7:30 Monday morning. I'm hoping it doesn't get postponed.

Cracking up! Good luck with the surgery! Hope you get there!!Snow started here in NJ already!

  2. I'm not sure why you keep stating that the ship wasn't sailing at capacity. There were two very prominent signs in the Guest Services/Atrium area stating that the ship was completely booked and therefore no cabin changes or upgrades would be possible. They were up almost the entire 14 days. I also would have to disagree with your statement about needing to be in the theater at least 30 minutes prior to a show. We attended the 9:00 or 9:30 showing of every show except the second showing of Rock of Ages and Oh What a Night. We never arrived earlier than 20 minutes before and most of the time were exactly 15 minutes early and the theater was never more than 1/2 filled at that time. The 9:00 shows with the individual performers such as the juggler, hypnotist, and comedian had plenty of open seats around us. Maybe you attended the earlier 7:00/7:30 shows. What a great cruise it was and wasn't that storm on the last day incredible! What an experience!

I was on the same cruise also and saw the signs too. I spoke to the hotel director at the latitudes party and what he said was that there were some groups of inside cabins available but they were the least desirable and the individual cabins were not "maxed" out like on cruises with more children on board. Instead of 4 to a cabin, most were twos and there were quite a few with singles. Evidently they upgraded people in the inside studios to ocean view or better. There were something like 1800 kids in the previous sailing and we only had about 200-300. Right there that is quite a few seats in the dining room and the theater.

  3. Does the Cafe at the Atrium on deck Six have FREE snacks like cake & cookies ?? .. or do they charge for them ?? ............

I like sailing on the Gem the Atrium bar has free snacks ! Muffins in the AM, cookies & cake for noon till they are gone !!

I looked this morning. You have to pay for all the snacks in the cases but there are servers all over the atrium with all you mentioned in platters and they walk around to the people seated and they walk up to you and offer as you walk in.

Likewise we were up at the main adult pool this morning from 10:30-1:30 and the whole time servers walked around serving the people on the loungers fruit on skewers and little sherbet ice push pops. They would not give me one while I was sitting in the hot tub. [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3] not allowed. Lol. I had to get out for fruit so she gave me two.

  4. Thank you again. Where do I find the Ferry that goes directly to Anse Mitan?? When I get out of the Terminal Building, what do I do??

When you get to the end of the pier keep walking to the right along the water. It was the second pier but both ferries leave from the same pier. Look at the schedule or ask one of the workers on the pier. 8:30am went direct. So follow down the schedule to see what other ones are direct. I can't seem to upload a picture of the two piers but I will when I get home.

  5. And how has the weather been? Were you able to sit outside on day 2?

We really had great weather overall. There was some rain here and there but we have been away for 14 days. I think it was cool the first day. Cloudy and it may have rained but it was warm enough to go out with a light hoodie. Funny, very warm and sunny now but it just got really windy. The water was a little rocky a few nights. Last night in particular. It was the 80s party and the water was splashing out of the hot tubs all over the dance floor.

  6. Yes. But according to the guests staying there they were out of beer, rum and pineapples until the they we got there. They were very unhappy to say the least. There were no bananas to make banana drinks the day we were there.

  7. Thank you so much for sharing information. This thread is great! My question is: what are the usual show times? For example, we are interested in seeing Rock of Ages but want to know what time we should plan our dinner. Thanks again!

Pretty much 7 & 9 but Rock of Ages and Cirque are at different times as listed in the NCL website. Make reservations for those. Although we saw Rock this past Monday (the second Monday of the cruise and only the second time they showed it) and the theater was not full. We are seeing Cirque tonight with dinner and they told us to arrive at 6:10.

  8. We took the Ferry to the beach in Martinique. I wrote about it in the Martinique Board. In Dominica we did the ships excursion to Emerald Pool and Twin Falls. Really beautiful but a little harder to get to twin falls than they described in the paperwork. Lots of walking through slippery mud and down steep slippery concrete and rocks where you had to hold on to a rope. In order to get in and swim you had to walk over more slippery rocks under water. Good grippy water shoes a must. I'll post pictures later it doesn't seem to be working now.

  9. Thanks so much for posting all the information.

I will be on this cruise on Jan 31st.

Can you tell me, did you dock or tender in Tortola?

    Lois

    Dock.

I had heard we were going to tender but I asked one of the crew and they said that tendering is very hard for this ship and they only do it for their out island. Too many people. They wouldn't go to Tortola if they had to tender. They would choose a different port.

  10. We just got back to the ship from a half day pass at the Hawksbill Resort. We stayed from 9:45-2pm for $40 pp. 4 of us shared a $20 cab ride each way ($10 pp rt). We had an amazing day. Bar drinks including Pina Coladas. Nice buffet but simple buffet lunch and you can order additional items off the menu or from the grill. Dessert. A few more drinks after lunch. There was a pool and clean wash rooms. The property does look worn and a little in bed of repair. The loungers were a little saggy on one beach near the restaurant. At the beach over the hill there were the newer loungers like at the pool. The sun palapas need leaves replaced but we had plenty of shade under the tree. No crowd and just one vendor all day. Folks staying at the resort were complaining to us that some of the renovations are still in process and some services promised were not available. It didn't affect our day at all and I would highly recommend it for a cruise day trip. The only glitch was that when we arrived the gentleman at reception told us that day passes start at noon. Our friends just explained that she received email confirmation that we could start early because we had to leave to get back to the ship. He then took our credit card with no problem. The same cab that brought us came back for us but we didn't have to arrange because there is a car rental/taxi service right outside the lobby and there were two drivers there when we came out. 15 minute ride with traffic each way.
