I'll be on with a few friends and family, this will be my 3rd time on the Venezia. First time was with a large group, second was solo, enjoyed both times.

I don't drink much and found myself having a hard time spending down my bar tab. On the last night, bought an expensive bottle of champagne and shared it with other folks at the bar. I didn't want to leave money on the table
Had a great time, for all the reasons Walter outlines though I don't miss hearing from the captain, LOL. Thanks Walter for the tip on the corn at pink agave, it was excellent 🙂
That's exactly what my daughter and I did the last night with our leftover bar tab. And yes that corn was very good!!!

We love the shrimp so much, I started making it at home.
It's a quick and simple treat!
My favorite was those shrimp, I was addicted to them, LOL

Thank you so much for your review for a first you both did a great job. About the ice, I was on in July and never did get ice, was told the first day the ice machine wasn't working, next day the same, so I just got ice from the buffet. And I agree with the smoke in the casino, it was the worst ever!!!

I loved these elevators! You choose the floor you want to go to on a tablet outside the elevator and then it tells you what elevator you will take. Most of the time it will go right to your floor and they have minimal people if any at all riding with you. It is very simple but something different than what most are used too....people don't like change! Wish they had these on the Celebration! I have never walked so many stairs in a week cruise until that ship, the elevators were awful!
I'm with you I found the elevators to much less crowded sometimes it maybe only 2 or 3 people with you. Much better than everyone running to the elevator as soon as they hear a bing and everyone wants to squeeze in.

Make riding the elevator an exercise in math and logic. In other words they make you work more so they can reduce the number of elevators to allow for more people to be squeezed onto the ship. Geeks (who love making the easy complicated) love them, normal folks with a few drinks hate them.
I found the elevators to be less crowded, with this system. It eliminates 10 people pushing their way in when it's only room for 5.

That's the only way I can eat oatmeal with bananas mixed in.

This will be my 2nd time on the Venezia, was on her July 13th for 4 days to Bermuda with a large group. I had a wonderful time but 4 days were not enough and there were multiple group functions so I really didn't get a chance to see and do everything. I will be doing this cruise solo, and looking forward to all I missed. Can't believe I didn't even have one slice of Pizza, LOL. Hope to meet some of you there.

Interesting. Maybe they changed the buffet arrangement after our June cruise. Definitely after getting my scrambled eggs and hot cereal in the main I got fruit salad or melon slices at the counter located behind you if waiting for an omelette, and the rolls/croissants were with the fruit. Or perhaps when we ate, around 7:30, those items were still there from the early continental breakfast set-up and were moved back to the main line before the end of breakfast service.
That was the same set up when I went in July. Soon as I got my omelette, turned around and got the fruit, no line.

Thanks for sharing these. We will be on the 4 day cruise on July 13, and seeing this in advance really helps with planning.

We have a 7 month old coming with us on this cruise. Did you happen to see any strollers on board? Thanks for any information.
See you on the 13th.

Thanks so much for this live report, I'll be on Meraviglia on May 14th, and looking forward to it. I'm so glad you could request butter, can't imagine having dry toast. Finally caught up and now I can go to bed, it's 2am. LOL Looking forward to the rest of your review.

I've been on 14 cruises and I only remember 2 CD's Emma on the sunshine and Matt Mitcham on the Vista. I have no clue who the other 12 were. LOL

I could be wrong but I thought you had to call to order a bottle for your cabin, and there is a phone number to call not a online way to order. I read it was to make sure a adult was ordering it not a child.
Placing an Order
Gift orders may be placed online 24/7 at the above website, or by calling The Fun Shops department at 1-800-522-7648, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-10:00pm ET and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am-6:00pm ET.I've always ordered on line for my bottles, never called. You order from your on line Carnival account so if a minor doesn't have your sign in or credit card number you have no problems.

Hearing that the Moderna Vaccine should be avoided if possible as it causes the more severe after effects? Can anyone speak to this talk?
My sister got the Moderna and had chills, fever, headache and muscle pain. I had both of the Pfizers and only had soreness in the arm for 1 day both times, the same with a couple of my friends who also had Pfizer.

So as we are experiencing what might be the first nice day in Connecticut this year (almost 60deg) I couldnt stand it anymore.
Carnival Magic...out of new york...7-6-2022.....not sure how i can POSSIBLY wait that long, but its what i gotta do 🙂
I expect everything virus related to be long over by then, and i really hope cruising is "normal" again.
They cancelled the one i had booked for this July, so i took advantage of the $600 onboard credit with the rebook deal....
Fingers are crossed 🙂
I know the feeling we had 70 in NYC Tuesday. I rebooked Magic for July 18, 2022 when our Magic for August 23, 2021 was cancelled last year.
