I don't know how long this will continue to work but today I emailed my request to the Princess address sbpcl@princesscruises dot com & within minutes the email confirmation arrived with the OBC posted. It came before the automatic email saying up to 21 days.
I have already sent a protest letter as I have no intention of using an app on my phone to transmit my financial information to a site that was only started 2 years ago by a husband and wife. If they had offered this as an option that would have been ok, but not as the only avenue to request the promised OBC.
I have been using Plaid for years. All my banking institutions use it. Plaid was formed in 2013.

I find it interesting that our only "notification" for this important change is via a communication shared with a single cruiser/customer and their CVP. It certainly seems as if the "mechanics" are in place and that there is real intent here...but where is the "official" announcement?
There are multiple individuals who have received this on multiple formats. The process is in place and working.

What’s fascinating is about a month (?) or so ago, we learned here on CC about the new shareholder benefits application option on the Princess website that we’re going to be using to reapply for SOBC on a couple of refared cruises, once we get home after our current cruise is over.
The SHB option still seems to work quite nicely using the below Princess link on their website while the link posted by the OP has not been officially referenced anywhere on the Carnival SHB webpage that I can find. Of course, if either Princess or Carnival Corp starts to officially promote the OP’s link, then that would possibly be more of an incentive for us to use that link.

From what I have read from the notice from our CVP, going forward using Stockperks is the way Carnival Corporate is going to handle Stockholders fleet and world wide.

I kept at it and got an account set up. The app sure asks a lot of question. I see no reason why I should tell them what our annual income is. Seems that's not required and I didn't give them that, but I find it a bit much that they'd even ask. I need to download a recent statement to upload. On the thread at FB, a guy said that his financial institution wasn't an option. Don't know if mine will be either.
The work around I was given was to select Fidelity, upload a photo of brokerage statement and change broker from Fidelity to whatever your financial institution is. I could not get the name change to work so just submitted using Fidelity. Received confirmation email. My financial institution was listed but the account could not be verified thru Plaid.
I also had issues with the name on the account. Ended us utilizing the exact name on the account, family trust.

I have downloaded the app, created an account and submitted a request. Stockperks indicated they were having an issue with Plaid when I contacted them regarding an issue. They provided a workaround which works with my holdings confirmed within minutes.
Submitted a request for the credit to
be applied and received a response the credit would be applied within 5 business days.

Wonder if its compatible for Australian share holders?
Or just USA??
Yes it is. Appears to be all Carnival brands world wide. Should be interesting.
I submitted a request for an upcoming cruise where I had not previously applied and received response it would take 5 business days to be applied.

You need to create an account with Stockperks and link your brokerage statement. If it works takes a few minutes to verify eligibility. Stockperks is having issues with Plaid the interface, could be due to volume.

Wait until you get the email on the new method for claiming Shareholder onboard credit. No more email, fax or snail
mail.

Princess offers a transfer from Southampton to Heathrow for flights leaving after 2:00pm. Arrives Heathrow around 10:30 as the coach makes the Heathrow to Southampton transfer. Fare is $59pp. Highly recommend it for convenience.
Princess also offers transfer to Victoria Coach Station for $64.

Sorry, posted on the wrong board.

We have done the same itinerary, same ship with and without package. The difference was not worth worrying about. We are buying the package for our upcoming cruises.

Is your name listed first on the reservation?
It’s been my experience for many years that when I’m the first name on a reservation and the SOBC application is in my wife’s name it goes to me. When we could talk to those issuing SOBC they always said it goes to the first name listed even when applying in the other passenger’s name who jointly owns the CCL shares.
Yes my name is first. Only in the last couple of days with attempting to have OBC loaded to the account, with the stock in DH name, has it been credited to my account. The stock is in a family trust.

So I have a question...we usually pre-order the water package (12 bottles) and 6 canned soda package. The water is always delivered and in our cabin when we board. We have to call room service to get the 6 cans of soda redeemed/delivered...so will we have to pay the $5.00 room service fee to have the pre-ordered/prepaid cans of soda delivered after we board. I can only assume the reason they don't pre-deliver the soda cans is because they wait to find out which soda's you want, i.e. 6 cans of coke. Although I don't know why the website can't just be set up to allow you to order the exact soda's you want and they too could be in the room when you arrive.
No you will not be charged. We called in September onboard the Sky with no issues or additional charges.

Thanks! Here’s the link if anyone is interested. We’ll try it out once we get back home after our current cruise on the CB is over. We have two future cruises we need to have the SOBC reapplied to.
https://book.princess.com/captaincircle/customerCare.pageI looked into using this website but found it far easier to send an email with all the required info and a screenshot of the proof of ownership.
Did submit for another cruise last night under DH name, using his email address and his account and it was still applied to my OBC. Obviously issues to be worked out. Notification was sent at 12:39pm which adds to my suspicion OBC is being handled off shore.

I just faxed in my request. After you’ve submitted your documents how long dit it take before you saw the credit?
Reportedly they are no longer accepting fax requests. Everything is now email at sbpcl@princesscruises.com. I have not attempted thru fax for the last year.
The request I sent in took a massive 24 minutes from submission until application. Looks like the offshore call center is monitoring the email address.

The message I received indicated it was effective immediately. I went on another app and pulled up Princess Cruise Vacation Planners and there are several CVPs I know personally who are also posting the same info.
I have submitted a request for one of the cruises we had not applied for Shareholder in DH name. Will see what happens.
Received the stand wait 21 day response.
Well that did not work as they applied it to
my folio. The request was from my email account but contained all his info. Sorry, I tried.

For me the first clue that made me doubt the chat’s accuracy was providing the wrong effective date of September 2022…it was on 6/29/23 so doubt if that chat rep was a reliable source. The message I received indicated it was effective immediately. Was thinking you would be happy with this change. Enjoy your OBC.

Received the same thing from my CVP this morning. Not that it makes a lot of difference to us as we usually sail together.
Pleased for solo travelers.

More than likely an increase in your insurance cost if you selected Princess insurance. Wait until you are onboard and purchase the Plus package.

I would catch an Uber. Another option would be catch the trolley to San Ysidro and then a cab to CBX. Doubt if there are many passengers who need a transfer to CBX.

I emailed our request a week or so ago and received the automated response indicating 21 days. 20 minutes later I received an updated booking confirmation showing the credit. Can’t ask for better service.
