  1. One of our Swallowtail caterpillars has transformed himself into a chrysalis. You can see the thin silk-like thread he made to attach himself to the parsley stem. This is the same one from a different angle.
  2. The video is in real time! I was happy to find them a second plant because the leaves on the first one are gone! I don’t mind donating my parsley to them either. Our granddaughter is enjoying them too.
  3. Last week we noticed through the window that there were some black butterflies fluttering about on our deck. Yesterday we realized they were Black Swallowtails, and they had laid eggs on a parsley plant. Those eggs turned into caterpillars, and they quickly devoured the parsley. This morning I bought a second plant, and they seemed very grateful. The way they eat the leaves reminds me of how we eat corn on the cob. 20220803_193121.mp4
  4. We have noticed the same thing about our Marcel since we lost Miss Priss last year. He follows us around from room to room and wants more petting, and we are happy to oblige. Joebob is a beautiful kitty.
  5. I have a set of china from my first marriage, and I no longer use it. However, one day I decided it was worthy of a tea party with my granddaughter, complete with my mom's silver tea service, on the living room floor. She served catnip mouse soup and cinnamon pine cone stew.
  6. Your homemade pasta looks divine! My older son's girlfriend has a dairy allergy (different from lactose intolerance, which my younger son's wife has), so when they visit I have to be very careful what I serve to eat. However, eggs are not dairy (even though you buy them in the dairy aisle).
  7. So, does that make them thrice baked? 🙂 Actually, I love them so much that I'd take them baked four times, but I don't know what that's called.
  8. What do you do for your daughter on your son's birthday?
