  1. We are selling also in August and also have a Aft balcony on the Summi. I have been checking out the Port of Bermuda cam the last couple weeks for last couple weeks. It looks as though the Breakaway docks the same way each time. (Facing the dock the forward on the left and the the aft on right.) whereas the Summit which docks behind the Breakaway ( has docked alternatively with their forward and alt facing the forward of the Breakaway on alternative weeks)

  2. Last year we cruised with Celebrity and were very pleased with our choice of the premium beverage package. The one thing we liked was the wine steward (can't spell the S word). Would come to

Our table each night and assist with our wine selection(s). Does RCCL offer anything like this with any of their beverage packages.

  3. :confused:Have learned that our ship will be docked @ Dock 30 in Quebec City across from a paper mill and far way from Old Town! So disappointed as my DH has mobility problems, walks slowly with "breathing breaks" needed frequently. Are there taxis or shuttles available to get to Old Town from where we dock and how safe will it be for us to try to come back to the ship after dark? We are not French speaking. We had so looked forward to this port and now it seems like we will only see it as we sail out of it! I have read Tom's Guide but am still worried, don't mean to sound so stupid but this is all new to us and I want us to be safe. Thanks for any information?!

We were ther last October, I also have mobility problems, they had shuttle busses and cabs available. It was no problem

  4. FYI there is a High Seas Bikers Rally on the FOS Nov. 2 -9, 2014. SOMETIMES large groups can disrupt dining, pools, and entertainment because they freqently like being together thus sometimes not giving regular cruisers the same amenities we pay for. Not ALL groups, just information you might consider when booking.

Just to start off I am not a biker. If I tried to ride a full size bike I would probably fall off and kill myself.

A couple of years ago I was on a 10 day Explorer cruise out of NJ where the first stop was Bermuda. There were about 200 bikers inboard and they had a rally ride in Bermuda. They sores their bikes in the hull of the ship and rolled off in formation after the ship docked. It was really fantastic to watch them. The thing was no one really knew they were onboard till we saw them leave the ship. Afterwards it was great talking to various members and listen to their tales of visiting various ports

  5. Can't tell you about wheelchairs but I need a scooter. There are very few handicap cabins on Grandeur and I thin they go fast. When we tried to booking one last December for our November cruise there was ony one left. However if you are using a wheelchair and are semi ambiatery you would be able to rent a regular cabin since you would be able to squezze it in the door.

  6. Have you seen more RCI cost cutting?

Here is what I saw on Explorer 2/9 to 2/16.

Drink/Cocktail napkins no longer have the RCI logo.

No ice bucket in the cabins - only on request.

Steward would not empty re fridge or remove Evian water from dresser.

Just plain refused - First time I heard a flat "NO" on RCI ...

Past Passenger event held @ 10:45 AM - on a day when you arrive in port @ 1PM - Saving drink alcohol drink costs?

"Top Tier Event" - Formal attire required to attend when casual is the MDR dress code.

    Again - More alcohol savings?

    r had a

    What have you seen?

Sounds like some of these cost cutting measures might be a little blowback from the norovirus scare Explorer experienced a couple of weeks ago

  7. This might be a little bit off topic, but would someone be able to answer the following questions?

    1. How do you apply for Shareholders Credit (I have about 500 shares)

    2. How much is it? (I have booked a 14 day cruise to Canada)

    3. How much before the cruise do you apply for it?

    Thank you in advance
