Which ship are you on, and does your itinerary actually say "Seville" with no mention of Cadiz, Spain or does it say "Seville (Cadiz)"?  I've read that some small cruise ships are able to go right down the river to Seville.  But when we cruised in that area, we docked in Cadiz.   If you end up there, I doubt Oceania will offer a shuttle to Seville, as there's more than an hour's drive between the two cities.  But they will likely offer excursions to Seville, and possibly an excursion which is just transportation to the city and back.   If you're adventuresome, you can walk several blocks to the bus/train station and take bus or train to Seville.  But Cadiz is actually a pretty nice city, so some people just stay in the city for the day.  Now if you're lucky enough to actually be docking in Seville, you may not need a shuttle anywhere.  But I don't know where ships dock there, so can't really help there!

We dock directly in Seville and overnight there.

We are in AmaLucia 333 on September 7 (if the EU will continue to allow US citizens). If we make it, I'd be glad to let you know.

Good Luck!! I hope it works out. We have all had so many of our travel plans not work out! I would love to hear how the cabin works out.

    Thank You, Carol

I did all that.  Check-in complete, cruise paid for............so I called AMA and gentleman said it would be around 60 days out before I could see them.  I am a bit confused, as this is our 4th trip with AMA, and I always thought we saw them earlier.  Oh well, guess I will wait.

We were on an AMA trip to south of France and we got to do excursions about 3 months before

    DAY 7  Lyon

There was free time in Lyon until 12:45pm when the boat departed for Collonges. It wasn't raining and was a little warmer than yesterday so we decided to walk to the Old Town which was a pleasant 30 minute walk. Unfortunately we didn't bring umbrellas and as soon as we reached the Old Town it started to rain. We spent about 40 minutes there and then walked back and just as we got close to the boat the rain stopped. There was a briefing at 10:30 am for the passengers who were doing the post extension in Paris and for those who stayed on the boat, there was a presentation on silk painting and printing from 11 am until noon. A Lyonnaise lunch was served at 1 pm with a huge cheese table. There was only 1 tour in the afternoon from 2:30-6:30, a Beaujolais excursion that departed from Collonges but the tour returned to Lyon where the boat changed it's docking position to the Quai Claude Bernard. The tour was quite scenic as we drove by fields and vineyards of the Golden Stone region. We spent time in the medieval hilltop village of Oingt which was named one of France's prettiest towns. We had a tour of the town and then some free time. Then on to a winery where we tasted 3 different Beaujolais wines, 3 different breads, cheese and dried sausage. We returned to the boat at 6:45 and by the time we freshened up just got to the last 15 minutes of S&S. Dinner was at 7:30 and the entertainment was Laszlo. This was Halloween and some of the staff were in costume. It was also the end of the cruise. The next morning breakfast was served from 7-9 am and staterooms had to be vacated by 9 am and luggage out by 8:30 am. The lounge was available to relax in while waiting for your transportation, about a 30 minute drive from the airport. It was a wonderful cruise, one that I could enjoy doing again, hopefully with nicer weather.

Thank you for your wonderful review. We have never done a river cruise before and we are doing this same cruise in April next year. Glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise

  5. I just downloaded the app and picked a cruise for 2018 that is the same for my 2019 cruise so I could see the information that is provided. I just skipped adding the booking number. Maybe you can do that to at least see the information that is provided. I am impressed with the detail on the excursions that I could not get on the website.
Thanks for the tip! I was able to look up the activities for our April Colours of Provence trip!

  6. We were on the Amadaggio back in 2012, Lyon to Arles, with 3 days in Paris, then 3 days in Barcelona. Loved it, ship, crew and staff were all excellent. Cant believe we havent managed another one yet, but we're booked on the Serena from Budapest to Amsterdam for next Christmas and New Year, really looking forward to it
We are booking this tour in reverse for 2019. Is there a better side when traveling the river where there is more to see? Really looking forward to our first river cruise.
