At the coach station (= bus terminal) it's a small rank, often no cabs there but they do swing by.
If there's more than a short line for a cab it might be worth phoning for one.
JB 🙂
Thank you! 😃 -
We have plans to arrive at the Southampton Bus Terminal around 12:30pm. In your experience, are there Taxis standing by or will we have to try and call one?
Thank you!

Zenith gets WIFI and the Premium Drink package correct?
I also wanted to verify that! Have one Celebrity booked and will likely book a lot more now!- 4

So...I just booked a couple of cruises for next summer...one on RCCL Explorer of the Seas...followed by one on Celebrity Constellation.
As always, I book the My Time dining option...So, I head over to the websites to make reservations. No problem for the Celebrity cruise--booked 7:00 pm every night. Head over to RCCL...Can't find a way to do it on the website or on the app. So I go over to the shore excursion options...and there are LOTS of options. None for Day 3 in Katakolon... but there are lots of great choices in Dubrovnik on Day 2...
Except...we're not going to Dubrovnik on this one! Day 2 is at sea...
So...I head back over to the Celebrity app...where I see it has us in Cabin #9095. Nice cabin...except it's not the one we booked. THAT was our cabin on our last Celebrity cruise earlier this month on Summit.
It's all fun... 😁
Wow! Hope your cruises straighten themselves out quickly! We’ve had similar experiences with the excursions/Ports listing incorrectly in the past, but never our Cabin number! Yikes!Last night, I noticed My Time reservations became available for a few of our cruises in 2025. It was not previously listed or available to book for those cruises, and I still have a few that MTD doesn’t show for. Seems there is no rhyme or reason to which cruises have reservations open, as some are early in the year and some are late! Hopefully they are slowly adding the MTD booking option and all will be available to book soon!

Might have to work on my photo uploading as I’m not sure the photos I added have uploaded properly
I only have my phone with me which is a bit of an annoyance, not that I know how to upload photos from my laptop anyway!
Thank you for posting your beautiful photos! They give many of us the opportunity to see the world! I know it takes time and effort to post, and it is much appreciated!- 10

We have very slow Internet in India. This will be my final post as we have to get ready to leave in Dubai. Royal Caribbean did say that they wouldn't refund us the rest of the cruise, which is what I expected, so we will file with our insurance once we're home. I see John's photos from the Taj Mahal, so I'll just post a couple I took. 😀
Thank you again for keeping the thread alive and posting your photos as you continued your journey! I had hoped to meet you and thank you in person when we rejoin the cruise in July.
Best wishes that everything can be resolved quickly and painlessly once you arrive home. Safe travels and I hope our paths sometime in the future!

Thanks -- I'm glad I have been able to upload some to this site, but someone else will have to take over in a few weeks because we recently had a family situation arise back home, so we will have to leave the ship in Dubai and head home, and we won't get to finish the world cruise. We hope to be able to plan a future cruise that will sail through the Suez Canal, and we'd like to also see the Norwegian fjords and other things that we'll be missing now. Maybe Royal Caribbean will offer another world cruise in a few years and we can book that. 🙂
Oh no! I’m so sorry you have to leave, and I hope everything back at home has a positive outcome!
We really appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your comments and beautiful photos each day! We have really enjoyed traveling with you!

I'm anxious to hear what you think overall about the ship. We are scheduled for B2B in September Vancouver to Vancouver and then Vancouver to LA.
We’ll be on both of those with you! Then staying on for the PC eastbound sailing!- 1

We docked in Tianjin yesterday and those of us on the included excursions had a choice of going to either just the Great Wall (and having a shorter, more manageable day), or the Forbidden City and the Great Wall (which was about a 17-hour excursion). My husband and I did the latter one. It was a long day -- we didn't get back aboard the ship until about 1 am. We went first to lunch, then the Forbidden City where our guide spent about two hours telling us about it. We then went to dinner and after the sun set, we drove to the Badaling section of the Great Wall. We didn't know it until our guide told us, but the Great Wall is usually only open at night in the summer months. They had it open especially for this Royal Caribbean cruise, and the only people on it last night were those of us who went on this excursion! We were *very impressed* with how Royal Caribbean handled this included experience. Both lunch and dinner were fabulous as well with lots of choices in food served "family style" as they do in China. And not only was the Great Wall open for us, but they had groups of performers doing dances, including dragon dances, and music, to welcome us as we entered the area. The souvenir shops were also open so we could get a souvenir. We could not be more impressed with how things went yesterday. Kudos to Royal Caribbean!
Wow! Your day looks amazing! Very glad you had a perfectly Royal day!- 5

We were on Jeju Island, South Korea, today. We went on an excursion to see a waterfall area and a Buddhist temple. I was thinking we might miss the cherry blossoms in Japan (next week) because of the timing and they might already be done, so I was pleasantly surprised to see dozens of cherry blossom trees here today. They were absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful! 😍 Thank you again for sharing your photos!- 3

Love your photos Lady Z! Thank you for sharing! Busan looks like a wonderful place to visit! Glad you made the best of a poor weather day and still enjoyed your visit!

I have found that Cruise Planner item refunds are almost immediate. When we’ve had a sailing, and therefore CP items cancelled by Royal, the refunds can take much longer.
Congratulations on your new home, and for getting the current home sold!

Samba has been on Radiance occupying the space on Deck 12 for more than a dozen years.
The OP’s question is whether Samba is still onboard Radiance now that it has left drydock. Does anyone have the answer?

Agree there. I have one short cruise booked with Allure, since it is convenient being local (want to see Mamma Mia 😉 )...and then we are pretty much done with the mega ships. Not interested in the theme park atmosphere and don't need to pay for those features I won't use.
Yep! We’ve only taken two cruises on the mega ships, and they were immediately after the Covid comeback, so much reduced capacity. We enjoyed those two cruises, but won’t be booking again with regular crowds. Just not for us.If they do build the smaller “Project Discovery” ships in the future, I’m sure they will follow the new norm and debut with ridiculous prices.

We were there in January, the mall is pretty pathetic. The stores you mentioned were open ( I’ve heard that Macy’s will be closing in the near future) but very few customers. The “food court” had two spots open, Sbarro pizza and a fast food Asian style. We went to the movie theater and accounted for two of the six people watching the movie. The mall looks like it is on it’s on it’s last legs.
The Avenue is an outdoor mall in Viera which might be a little closer than the Melbourne Mall. It is my favorite place to shop if I don’t want to drive to Orlando.
Sherri🙂
The Merritt Square Mall has looked like that for years! I too visit The Avenue at Viera. It is definitely closer than the Melbourne Mall, but it can be an expensive ride to get there if you don’t have a car. -
I just keep an out of date AAA card in my travel bag to stick in the slot if I need it. 😉

Merritt Square Mall has a JC Penney, Dillards, Macys, and yes, a Bath & Body Works. The Mall also has a Books A Million, Ollie’s Bargain Store, and a very good Mexican Restaurant, Margarita Island. There are other assorted stores, but I don’t know what they are. The general Mall has not been well maintained, but the anchor stores mentioned above own their space and are fine. As long as you are happy with those stores, it’s fine to shop there.
