  1. We're looking at either the Intercontinental or the Hampton Inn Brickell.

Hampton Inn is about $50 more, but offers breakfast and looks like it's walkable to the Mary Brickell Village to spend some time before our cruise.

Intercontinental is closer to our dinner place (Cheveche) and the port.

We don't want to be the first on the ship, so we'd like to walk around Miami a bit before catching an uber...

    Thoughts?

  2. Hi.

We're kind of big water drinkers, especially at bed time. I know that NCL charges a fortune for bottles of water to be delivered to the room and that we can not bring bottles of water onboard...

SO... How does the water on board taste? How easy is it to get to (is it in multiple locations or just at the buffet)? How much are bottles of water to buy at the bars?

    Thanks...

  3. Hi.

Which is better? They're both available on our requested day, they both cost the same, they both are willing to take us to the places we've asked for, etc...

SO... how do we pick? They're both so highly recommended...

    Any help???

  4. Hi.

We're on the Getaway and I'm booking us our complimentary dining tables (so we can eat at the time we like). We've never cruised on NCL before. If we want to be paired up with random people at dinner (like with traditional dining on other ships), do we just ask for a table bigger than our party? Or if I reserve a table of 6, do I need to show up with 6 people?

    Does that make sense?

  5. Hi.

We're trying to decide between the Mayan Experience (Chacchoben Ruins and Village with authentic lunch) and the Dzibanche Ruins (which you can still climb)... Anyone been to Costa Maya before and have any advice?

We'll probably book with Native Choice... But has anyone booked with shoreexcursionsgroup.com?

    Thanks for your help!

  6. We just got back from a Princess cruise and we were not wowed! We had been on one a few years back, and felt the quality had slipped (food was disappointing, the big show was horrendous, etc).

We're in our late 30's, just me and my husband traveling, looking to get away from our kids, lol.

What's in a similar price range but a little more exciting? We don't necessarily need to be on one of the huge ships, but we're not opposed. We're looking for good food (in the dining rooms), a nice mix of passengers (not a whole bunch of college kids), lots of activities (we LOVE the Princess Patter).

    What do you suggest?

  7. Hubby and I want to get to a nice beach (someplace we can get lunch, rent snorkel equipment or jetskis, etc) where we can spend a few hours. We're not super beachy, but we don't want to do stingrays.

Anyway, can you walk me through how to get there... feel free to treat me like a child -- the more details the better so we have a nice experience and don't get lost. We didn't grow up with much public transportation.

Or should we just do the cruise excursion?

    Thanks!
