I just find it odd that I have a receipt for fully paid sailimg, that states .....blah blah gratuities 12.95...blah blah, yet they can now charge me more..makes me wonder what else they can change??.

Ok seriously...I can spell lol...must have been weary eyed last night..
Anyway. Sanchos is 65....

I don't really mind the auto tipping.. I pay it early, one more thing paid..
I havent really thought about the tipping added to the beverage package, as we've not purchased them before. Are bar staff not in on the pooled tips? If so, what is the reasoning for the added gratuity? Just curious about the reasoning?

Lol not sure how you figured out what I was saying with all those typos..stupid phone :)

Thanks guys..great input..

Tryng to decide which way to go.. Beach Toya arent imprtant, We do want to eat but we also want to Parasail. The only one I see that offers parasailing is Sanchos.
But onky a 12 min ride..though i dont know what the norm is.. Sanchos is kinda prcey when you through in the parassiling. But the food is appealing. .. Would we be better off doing a parasail somewhere else, and then just finish up at PB?

First. We are planning on doing one of the zip line tours. But we have soneone with a knee issue that makes climbing hard. They are in over all good physicsl shape, but climbing is tough.. Is there a lot involved in the canapy tours? Is there one that has more climbing or stairs than another?
Second question. We have been to Tabyana and enjoyed the snorkleing from the shore. We are condidering doing a catamaran out to Bkue Hole..? Or something like that. is it worth it to tske a Cat.? Is the snorkling any better than off the beach ?

It seems to take a bit to get a ship accustomed to Texans lol. When we were on Rhapsody during hurricane Ivan and 40 ft waves, James was out CD. He told us they had no plans to start up events that next morning after the mayhem. But he told the Captain. " these crazy Texans are ready to party, we better get going lol"
We will be on Liberty in June. Hope it's tweeted by then 😄

Trying to decide between refreshment or replenish for DS. First do they offer powerade.?
Also, since they dont have the freestyle machine, do you have to carry the souvenier cup sround, or do they still put a sticker on your seapass so you can just go to any bar etc?

Yes. That's what threw me. Not exactly a roller coaster. But that must be it. Thanks. Looks fun.
-
Not sure what it is. Sorta like a one man roller coaster in the jungle. Thinking maybe a cool runnings like experience in Jamaica. Maybe something at Labadee? Anyone?

Happy with this news. This was one of the last deciding issues between Carnival Magic and Liberty for us. Between this and ADC. I am very happy I didn't slip. Now if I can just get Freestyle machine. I'll be ecstatic lol.
-
Oh that is GREAT news I was just asking about him the other day. Hope he is still on in June!!!

Generally speaking whatever age you are when you board is what you are considered throughout the cruise. Also generally they allow someone to move down but not up. There as always are exceptions and variations to that rule.

I guess I've pretty much resigned myself to accepting that a chair in the sun is going to be hard to find.. Either anywhere near the pool or upper decks,or the solarium on sea days.. We will be on in June 16, from Galveston..
Based on pictures theres nothing to be found even on upper decks.
I did find a glimmber of hope though.. It looks there are lots of chairs down by the flow rider..Does this area get a lot of use ...the chairs that is. I would be happy with that area.. with an occasional sprint to cool off..

While they may be close in price HAL Celebrity and Princess are all about a more luxurious ,service driven ,more all inclusive feel. RCI is all about the ship as a destination family fun, with ad ons available.

While I'm sure there is some truth to them wanting to increase specialty revenue,it seems to be these venues are already almost booked solid. They can't handle all the passengers. IDK maybe they count on the fact that there will always be those who don't care as long as they don't have to "pay" for it. While I don't think the MDR food is horrible. It does lack. And that is disappointing.
-
Pretty much what it always had. Best in the "mid range" class.
-
Well a girl can hope I guess then Bob. Lord knows I'm lobbying for my Coke Zero w/lime. !! :)
-
Is Liberty year round in Galveston confirmed? Would that mean she might get Freestyle coke machines?
-
I booked mine a year out. It's June 5th 2016. It seems a long way off. But as my kiddo gets older it feels like the year flies by. So I figured this would be a good way to slow time down. Liberty here we come.
staying 3.5 hours from Galveston on way down...

Be warned.. i didnt notice your sail date..But you will experience heavy traffic once you get on 45 around downtown Houston all the way until pretty well South of Houston, almost to League City. leaving at 8 will put you there between 11-12..and its a cluster any day of the week, even weekends..Its doable but youre not giving yourself a lot of leaway if something happens..
Ww have lots of family in the Nacadoches area.. Go Jacks!
