  1. Unfortunately, the inside rooms did not have a fridge.

    Sorry.

Also do not try to bring any alcohol on board via your suitcase.

I only had a diet coke and an ice tea- well those two suitcases did not make it to my room.

True... If you are going to be bringing you 2 bottles of wine on board, be sure to put them in your carry-on and tell security that you have them in their so as to not slow down the line.

  2. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

Wait... a 9nighter... 55/pp/day... That's almost an extra G on to the trip. Hmmm. I know I can put a few away, but to add the DW's in there would make things interesting. HOWEVER... If it includes soda, coffees, and some others that we don't have details on, it would def make for consideration. Gotta have the good java in the am!

Found my bill from our past 12n. Total 'drink' bill including tips/coffees/sodaPkg/wine: $774.52. That doesn't include a few 'comped' drinks by well tipped bartenders or what made it to our room 'illegally'. So, in my case, it will be about a wash.

    A few questions...

Does the $55/pp/day INCLUDE the tips for the bartenders? I don't see why it wouldn't.

What about the bottled water in the rooms?

  3. Just received a call from a friend working onboard Oasis. RCCL is going to offer the unlimited alcohol packages on ALL SHIPS, all itineraries.

This is to begin today onboard Oasis. From what I was told, all ships should also be rolling out this program on their next turnaround.

The packages will be sold onboard. A table will be set up next to the other tables offering the soda and water packages.

Eventually you will be able to pre-order and pre pay online, but at this time it's only available for purchase onboard.

Appartently, these packages have been a huge money maker at Celebrity.

The bar staff have gone through additional training on how to watch out for and deal with over intoxication and how to handle guests who have had too much to drink.

Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

  4. Another RedCat lover...thought it was just me. Haven't seen a "pouch". Also the only place I can find it is Total Wines and More. Is that your source also?

Yes, this is THE BEST NEWS. This will not inhibit the purchase of the wine package or our alcohol consumption, but will enhance our enjoyment and relaxation of a private drink before circulating with the others.

    Thanks,

    Kathryn

The winery is about an hour and a half from where I live. They just released the 'Pouch' this summer. It's 4 bottles in one! Tell your local supplier that you want them. They are great for summer. Throw it in the cooler and no need to worry about breaking the bottles!!!

  5. wow, I booked mine at $200, I do not think I would get it at $250, too much money I guess we will spoil ourselves for this cruise. I sure hope that they do not try to charge us more if we have already booked.

I'm sure it is just like a price change on the cruise... Can't raise the rate once booked, but I am sure those that book at the higher rate are gonna jump on the phones if the price goes back down.

  6. We'll be sailing in May on Enchantment, and I wondered if anyone could give a quick run-down on the gym and any classes they might offer. Thanks!

There was a gym on the ship???

HA! We took the Spa tour on the first day. It's small but has most of the standard equipment. I do believe I saw signups for Spinning, Bootcamp, and a few others. All for a fee, of course... If my memory serves me correct, the Bootcamp was $35/class or you could do 3 classes for $90...

  7. Im Thinking About Booking A Cruise On This Ship But Was Wondering A Few Thing??

Is There A Night Club Where You Can Dance And Have Newer Music?

Dose It Have A Kids Camp?

Would You Do A 12day Cruise On This Ship?

    Thanks Alot

Sailed the 12nighter Feb27-March10. The ships activities were geared toward the older generation... Activites such as Scrap-booking and Water-coloring were the highlights of some days. Easy listening music was the norm. The only time you got 'younger' music was from DJConrad in Boleros Lounge nightly at around 10pm. He spun tunes till about 1am when they closed the lounge for the night. There was a DJ in the Viking-Crown lounge too, but we stuck with Conrad. Luis and Patsy at the bar kept us well lubricated...

It does have a kids camp. My buddy used their services for the 12nights with his 3 kids ages 7,6, and 4...

  8. That is one of the purposes of the Centrum area as there are seats and a bar. What I dislike more is having to weave through all the photographers and people waiting to use them.

As for lines, so what? On a ship like EN there tend to be lines almost everywhere. I don't get the big deal about standing in line for a couple of minutes. We didn't have to for the MDR as we were seated upstairs just past the MTD tables so we were able to walk right in every night for our late seating. We always go the first night so we can meet our table mates. We've made some really good friends in the MDR.

It's understood that the Centrum is the staging area for dinner in the MDR... My point is that they are there at 4PM FOR A 530 DINNER!!! Not just seated... But standing... IN THE WAY... pardon me, excuse me, sorry... GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!

I guess it wouldn't be so bad if Ench wasn't so taxed for inside public space. Hopefully the chatter of them removing the marble stairs and opening up the Centrum is true. Let you know next Feb when we sail on her again!!!

  9. I really dislike lines and people tend to line up waiting for the doors to the MDR to open. I jokingly call it a cattle call. If we hang out in the concierge lounge until the line disappears and then go into the MDR we are a little late. The staff is trying to learn the desires of the guests and there is a lot of hustle and bustle. It's just a personal thing...we wait until the second night (which is usually formal night) to go to our table and the MDR seems calmer. We usually eat in a specialty restaurant and use a BOGO coupon on the first night. After a busy first day on the ship I like quiet and calm for dinner. It's just a personal preference.

We had to walk through the CROWDS of people waiting in the Centrum almost a full 45 minutes BEFORE dinner to get to our cabin!!!

  10. We are home and had a wonderful time. I have not as yet caught up with these boards, but the ship was better than we expected and Jerry and I truely enjoyed meeting each and every one of you!!!!!!!!!!

Steve, what happens in St. Martin, stays in St. Martin!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for a wonderful day!!!!!!!!!! More later.

Looking forward to your review Cuzier2.

    Vicki

    :D;):D;)

What is this 'St.Martin' you speak of???

  11. How many kids are onboard????

I heard 2 counts... 35 and 60. None the less, you didn't know that they were even on board the ship.

The 3 children that Cuizer2 originally posted about were my friends children. They had fun in the AdventureOcean program, but once out of there for the day there was NOTHING for them to do in regards to events on board. Most events were geared toward the 50+ crowd so my wife and I (38yrs old) became bored really fast. Team trivia once a day doesn't cut it.

It was a pleaure to meet you, Cuizer2!!! Have a safe trip home.

  12. The DW and I will do a modified Atkins over an 8-10 week period to drop 15-20 lbs. before our cruise. We did it by the book 3 years ago and I dropped 25lbs in a 10 week period. 205-180!!! 2 pant sizes!

We are more focused on our portion control during the year to keep it more realistic. We also allow ourselves a little here and there to keep our sanity in check.

More veggies... Less junk... Watch the portions...

My first time in this thread... Time to see if anyone has any secret recipies for snacks.
