We are booked on the same Enchanted January 28, 2023 sailing as well as the three 10 day sailings that follow, total 40 days. The sanctuary is a great location if your enjoy lounging in sun or shade on your reserved lounge chair. The cost was $20/half day, morning or evening, $40/full day and $30/full day if you book all 10 days of the cruise. There is no pool in the sanctuary, but there is a hot tub. If you want to use a pool you have to go down one deck to the Retreat adult only pool, or to the Lido deck pools. In the past I have seen high demand on Caribbean cruises. There were no pre-reservations. You had to actually go directly to the sanctuary immediately upon boarding to select your lounge chair and day(s). This voyage will have lots of passengers that are booked b2b, like us, and will have been on board from the 18th, 8th and some just about all season. They kind of get first choice as they book each boarding day before any new passengers board, or sometimes even during the previous cruise. If you want to use the sanctuary make note of the probable high demand. Keep watching. Princess could change its policy and pricing at any time. They could add pre-cruise sanctuary reservations in the medallion app.

This is so helpful, thank you! Great to meet a fellow future passenger too. We will keep an eye out for the Sanctuary as it would be lovely for at least one of the sea days. Can you give me any info on the entertainment at night? We aren’t ones to go to bed at 9pm and like to chat and socialise with good music and drinks. Is there a good vibe on the Princess Caribbean sailings? Also just any general hints and tips about anything would be greatly appreciated as this is all new to us. Thank you in advance.

  2. We are mostly Royal Caribbean cruisers and my husband has always worn smart dress shorts to dinner in the MDR apart from obviously on formal night. We’re hoping this will also be ok in the 10 night Caribbean we have just booked on Enchanted? 🤞🤞

You should enjoy the Enchanted Princess. Passenger comments about the first four Royal Class ships have been considered in building the Enchanted Princess and soon to come Discovery Princess. Be sure to try GiGi's pizza, known as Alfredo's on other Princess ships. Waiter served individual pizzas and other menu items. Open 11am until mid evening. No charge. You can find a sample menu by searching Princess cruises Alfredo's. Other nice touches are the International Cafe, open 24/7. No charge for food items. I tend to eat too many soft cookies when passing by, or ordering a specialty coffee drink.

This sounds great, thank you for your tips! Do you have any recommendations as far as the sanctuary?

Balconies even the angled balconies are much smaller than you are used to.  Still love the Royal class ships but the balconies not so much.

The cabins look amazing so hopefully I won’t be too disappointed with the balcony size.

Basically you are not going to find larger mini suite balconies on the Enchanted or other Royal Class ships* You can see on the deck plans that both of these cabins have angled balconies with R427 being a little larger. To compare most of the balcony sizes you see on the deck plans are 9ft x 4ft, just enough to sit angled. Your balconies will be larger than that. The cabin steward can open the connecting door between the balconies if you request it. You will enjoy Club Class. The basic benefit is the dining. Walk in anytime the DR is open and the wait, if any, should be short.

*Enchanted Princess Club Class mini suites M107, M108, L107, L108 are forward facing and have huge balconies. These cabins fill quickly. They are windy when the ship is in motion and have a solid steel railing.

Thank you so much for your reply that’s really helpful. I don’t suppose we’ll be on the balcony that much with this itinerary and exploring a new ship but will be nice to open up the two balconies together.

  6. We have just booked cabins R423 & R427 on Enchanted 28th January 2023. First time Princess cruisers in a club class mini suite and are a bit concerned about the balcony size. We usually have a junior suite on Independence of the Seas, could anybody advise on comparisons?
    Many thanks!

Either of those rooms would be perfect. I’ve actually been in 10158 on the other side of ship and I love that location. Excellent views forward and aft and easy to go up to pool deck and solarium.

Thanks croozin soozin, that’s what I was thinking. Did you get any noise from adventure ocean above?

  8. Thank you for your replies. I think our main concern is the length of time at sea (8 days). We absolutely love sea days, sitting on the balcony without a care in the world watching for wildlife. But 8 days seems incredibly long when the most we’ve done is 2 across the bay of biscay from Southampton. We love making new friends and getting involved with activities. Would you say eastbound was better weather wise?

    Thank you again 😀
