  1. I had OBC from my TA on my last 2 cruises, both shown on my payment confirmation from TA agency only, not on Royal website. Unfortunately, I had to make a few trips to Guest Services on board to get it posted to my account (starting from day 3 of my cruise). Guest Services allowed me to make a free call to my TA. Finally, I got my OBC on one cruise, but never on my last cruise. So, no more bookings from me with this big online agency.

  2. I also called Corporate Guest Services a few hours ago with no success. The rep explained me that other cruises got their compensations for "service failure", and we did not have any. Change of itinerary was done for "our safety". But as I remember, they said that itinerary changed according to passengers vote, not safety. May be we can write to Christopher Elliott, who writes the Travel Troubleshooter column and often helps people get refunds (or tells them why they can't). His website is http://elliott.org/, and you can write him at elliottc@gmail.com.

  3. We will be in Roatan in February on RCCL Anthem of the Seas. Which terminal we will dock - Mahogany Bay’s Terminal or Coxen Hole Port of Roatan Terminal? How far is LFK from the Terminal?

  4. Hi all!

According to our TA, obc offered by the TA's are applicable for the service charge. Or does anybody have other experiences?

I never had a problem with our TA OBC - always applied to daily service charge.

  5. I emailed you copies of the menu that i was given on the breakaway. I hope that it is legible.

    As far as your sister:

My husband and I adhere to the highest standards of kashrus - Glatt Kosher, Cholov Yisroel and Pas Yisroel only. We had not problems on the cruise. We took along a peeler and a vegetable knife. We made our own salads. The maitre D was understanding. He brought us whole, uncut fruits and vegetables, whatever we wanted. They brought us paper goods. The food has a good hashgacha, and was brought double wrapped. We did, however, bring along our own milk and sour cream. We've done 5 cruises.

    Best of luck.

I got your files, thank you so much! Will be on Gem on January 30, may be next time with my sister...

  6. We sailed the NCL Breakaway out of NYC in November. I'm assuming that the food is the same on the gem. (OUr 5th cruise, and yes, I do think that NCL does kosher food best.)

Sterling is a huge upgrade over Webermans. The food was really good, with rare exceptions, such as all the breakfast omelets which tasted frozen. Each dish is individually wrapped, which helps tremendously. We found that the webermans tv dinners had all the flavors melded together!

Send me your email and i'll send over a pdf of their menu items.

    Some of our favorites.

    mashed potatoes

    steamed green beans

    minted peas

    stewed carrots

    grilled vegetables

    brisket

    beef bourguinione

    snapper francaise

Thank you very much for your info. My dream is to have my sister's family with me onboard. But they are but they are "very" kosher, and doubt about food on the ship. Please email me the menus at inna61 at hotmail dot com. Thank you.

  7. Agree. The MDR had the tea box with choices. We were happy to even see decaffeinated tea as a choice.

But plain green tea does not exist on NCL ships. I like to drink not flavoured teas. I asked about plain green one everywhere - buffet, MDR, M&G on Gem and Breakaway - no success.
