Does anyone know the breakfast hours in Sabatini's or Crown Grill?

We are a day and 1/2 in Talkeetna as part of a Princess land/sea vacation. I know that you can take a shuttle into town, but what else is available. I saw on the hotel website a number of excursion that we are considering. Has anyone done any excursions there? I am not interested in any helicopter, but open to all others.

Sorry to say that Princess does not stop in Kona, so some of the best snorkeling won't be accessible. We rent cars, especially in Hilo and on Kauai - cheap (check Costco car rentals as well as DiscountHawaii), shuttle pickup right at the pier, easy to get around, relatively little traffic. Our Costco car rentals in September in both ports cost us under $50 for the day. I'd personally avoid car rental in Honolulu unless you are very comfortable driving in horrendous traffic and can handle the stress of delays and big city driving. Maui is probably another place to do car rental, though the information I found says it's about a 4 mile taxi or shuttle ride from the pier (that's assuming the Star goes to Lahaina as it did for us).
How do you rent the car from Costco and get a shuttle to pick up the car. (Kauai) I just went on line and they gave me two locations, the airport and a hotel.

Has anyone been on the Golden lately and do you know if they are offering the escape room? I heard some are offering only to Suite passengers, which we are. Also, do the coffee cards on the Golden have an expiration date? Any other updates on the ship you would like to share?

Thanks everyone, yes I was talking about Princess and out of Whittier. Sorry I wasn't clearer.

We are doing a Southbound cruise and wondered what the boarding time will be. The ship is not sailing until 8:30pm. This is due to the land/sea cruise people coming in on the Denali train around 6 o so.

What is the best way to get to the ship in Whittier from Anchorage? There are 3 of us and we are interested in knowing what options we might have other than the Princess bus.

Ours was changed as well, then changed to 4:15 and then to West Jet. Not sure what is up with Delta!

Thank you, this is a great recommendation!

Do you have a recommendation for the best independent tour company?

On our first cruise we used Ketchikan Taxi for 4 hours with Dave. It was excellent and tailored to what we wanted to do & see. Since we were only in Ketchikan from 7am-2pm, we wanted to maximize our time.
I have been to Ketchikan before but mainly did the town. Where did the taxi take you?

We are taking our daughter and her family on a Princess cruise in June. We will be going to Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. They are interested in doing the helicopter and dog sledding as well as ziplining. Can any recommend an excursion for each of this and which ports? I told them I thought I heard Bear Creek Zipling in Ketchikan was good but we are certainly open for suggestions.

The shuttles are much cheaper and drive the exact same road with the exact same views. Plus you can get off as you like. https://www.nps.gov/dena/planyourvisit/shuttles.htm
If we use the shuttle which sounds like the best idea, how do we get to where it picks up?

We are taking a cruise with our 13 year old granddaughter. Does anyone know if she can do the pop choir.

It looks like the Tundra Wilderness is included in our original booking. We can upgrade to the other, but it doesn't look like we get a refund if we don't do the Tundra on Princess.
-
Thank you for the information. I will check this out!!

We are on a land/sea trip with Princess and will be in Denali on Jun 7 and 8. Looking at the excursions listed both the Tundra Wilderness and Kantishna Experience are not listing prices at this time. Once they open up what are your recommendations? Should we go on one thru the park or Princess and which one? We do like walking and taking pictures but not looking at just hiking.

We are on an Alaska land/cruise and see that we do not even get off of the train until 5:30 snd then need to go through checkin etc. She does not sail until after 8. Can we change the night for the Crown Grill once onboard? Seems like there might be a conflict for dinner with muster etc.

Thank you everyone. We will keep the window suites.
-
We are booked on the Golden with 2 window suites. We have 2 in one cabin and 3 in the other. I understand that this means we have to have a permanent rollaway bed in the cabin. Has anyone experienced this before? Does it take away from having the extra space? Would it be better to book a mini suite with club class for the 3? Except for the specialty dining for breakfast and one dinner in the specialty restaurant, what would they be missing?

When I was son the Ruby the breakfast was served in the Crown Grill.
-
I don't see the breakfast included in Sabatinis anymore??
-
We just got off of the Ruby and there were no different menu items, they were the same as the dining room. The only perk was not having to make a reservation, and to walk in anytime and get a seat.
Alaska cruise/tour luggage question

Is it one bag per person that will be trucked to the hotel, or one bag for the two of you?
